FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (6/7/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Troy Klauder highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 6/7/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Tonight's main slate starts at 7:05pm eastern and covers 14 matchups. There's also an all day slate at 2:20pm which includes the early Cardinals-Cubs game.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/7/2019. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

We also provide DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me on Twitter @TroyKlauder.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Jacob deGrom: NYM vs COL ($10,300)

deGrom hasn't quite posted the insane numbers that we saw last year, but he is by all means still an elite starting pitcher option. He enters Friday with a 28.9% K-rate and a phenomenal 1.99 Deserved Run Average on the year. deGrom is at home for this start in pitcher-friendly Citi Field against a Rockies lineup that is awful on the road - they've got just a .286 wOBA away from their ballpark. Colorado also has a very high 26.6% strikeout-rate on the road, so deGrom has extra strikeout appeal in this outing. He is a rock solid investment to rely on in cash games.

Marcus Stroman: TOR vs ARI ($7,400)

Stroman has quietly been putting together a strong 2019 campaign, with a 2.84 ERA through 13 starts. While he won't rack up big strikeout numbers, Stroman has four quality starts in his last five outings. At this low of a price, he's a great bet against the Diamondbacks, who have been below average against right-handed pitching with a .306 wOBA. Stroman will save you plenty of payroll for your bats and should be able to hold his own out of your SP slot.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Justin Smoak: 1B, TOR vs ARI ($3,200)

I'm looking to stack Blue Jays hitters as they take on DBacks starter Merrill Kelly, who has a 4.52 FIP and a 1.34 HR/9. Toronto has plenty of affordable bats and can tee off in their hitter-friendly home park. As for Smoak, he's been on fire at the plate over the last two weeks, batting .293 with five home runs and a 1.028 OPS. He will rack up counting stats batting third and is an outstanding value.

Brandon Lowe: 2B, TAM at BOS ($3,500)

While Lowe has slowed down since his torrid start to the season, he's still batting third for the Rays against righties, which puts him in a great spot for runs and RBI. Opposing starter Rick Porcello has a rough 4.76 ERA this year, so Tampa Bay's offense should be able to do some damage in an extreme hitter's park in Boston. At a weak second base position, Lowe is a nice option.

Eugenio Suarez: 3B, CIN at PHI ($3,400)

Suarez has had a ton of production over the last month, batting .344 with a .952 OPS. Suarez is a power upside play in a hitter's environment in Philadelphia, where he can add to his 14 home run total. Zach Eflin is a regression candidate for the Phillies, as he's outperforming his 4.35 FIP, so I'm looking to take multiple Reds hitters if possible. Suarez is yet another cheap three-hitter to take advantage of.

Tim Anderson: SS, CWS at KAN ($3,500)

Anderson is enjoying a fantastic breakout season, with a monster 148 wRC+ against righties. He's facing a trash pitcher in Homer Bailey, who has a 6.05 ERA and really shouldn't be in a big league rotation any longer. Anderson's got nine homers with 15 steals, so I'd target him in GPP contests where his power/speed combo can pay off the most.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Nelson Cruz: OF, MIN at DET ($3,000)

I understand the urge to fade Twins hitters against Detroit starting pitcher Matt Boyd, but Cruz has been such a good hitter that I can't resist at this price. Cruz has a .915 OPS against left-handed pitching this year and is at a huge discount because he just got off the disabled list. The Twins lineup seems to always find a way to produce, and Cruz should get his.

Nicholas Castellanos: OF, DET vs MIN ($3,000)

After covering so many three-hole hitters, it's only fitting to close out with Castellanos. Even in the Tigers lineup, he'll be able to find runs and RBI and comes at a low price. Casty is having a modest year but has picked things up over the last 15 days, putting up an .876 OPS.
