FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/24/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Daniel E. Dobish highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/24/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a full slate of Major League Baseball games, with seven day games with first pitch between 1:10 p.m. and 4:07 p.m. ET, with one game at 6:40 p.m., and seven games starting at 7:05 p.m. ET. We'll have selections for the 'All Day' contests, so you'll have a wide-array of selections to choose from.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/24/2019. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @danieledobish.

Weather Outlook

The Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals will face precipitation chances of 30-35 percent from 12:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., so a brief delay at some point wouldn't be surprising. Neither precipitation nor wind will be a problem in the remainder of the afternoon games.

For the game between the Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox, they'll face a wind from 9-12 mph from home plate to Pesky's Pole in right field, helping out left-handed hitters. The game between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets will feature winds blowing in from left field to first base at a 10-13 mph clip.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Chris Paddack - P, SD vs. SEA ($8300)

A few years ago playing a rook against a stud like Felix Hernandez would have been unheard of, but the mighty have fallen. The M's are 0-8 in their past eight against teams with a winning overall record, and they're 3-7 in King Felix's past 10 road outings. The Padres are 5-0 in the past five interleague games against teams with a winning record, and they're 6-2 in the past eight interleague games overall. Paddack is 0-1 over his first four starts, but he has lasted 88 or more pitches in each of his past three outings, and he has a 2.25 ERA and .213 opponent on-base percentage through 20 innings.

Eduardo Rodriguez - P, BOS vs. DET ($8400)

E-Rod got off to a terrible start, allowing 12 runs - 11 earned - over eight innings in his first two road starts. However, he has shown signs of life over the past two starts, allowing six runs - five earned - and 10 hits with just one walk and 14 strikeouts across 12 innings. The Red Sox are 20-7 in the past 27 home outings by Rodriguez, and they're 5-1 in his past six against AL Central foes. It's a favorable start for Rodriguez to stay on track and grab his second win.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Carlos Santana - 1B, CLE vs. MIA ($4000)

Santana checks in second in the majors with a .362 (25-for-69) average against right-handed pitching, and his .494 on-base percentage vs. RHP is even better than that of L.A. Dodgers 1B/OF Cody Bellinger (.416/.490/.865).

Brandon Lowe - 2B, TB vs. KC ($3700)

Lowe will get a crack at Royals RHP Jakob Junis, a pitcher who has allowed four or more earned runs in each of his past three outings, including a total of four homers in the past 15 2/3 innings. Lowe has at least one RBI in four of the past five contests, and seven RBI in the past seven outings. The good times will continue to roll for Lowe.

Yandy Diaz - 3B, TB vs. KC ($4000)

Stacking against Junis isn't a bad idea, and Diaz has been on quite a run lately. He has registered 12.2 or more FanDuel fantasy points in five of his past eight outings, totaling three homers, seven RBI and six runs scored during the impressive stretch.

Paul DeJong - SS, STL vs MIL ( $3900)

DeJong is a solid source of power at the shortstop position, especially vs. RHP. He is hitting .337 with 11 doubles, a triple, five homers and 12 RBI with 21 runs scored and a couple of stolen bases for good measure. Until DeJong starts to cool off, or his price tag gets too high, keep rolling with him against righties.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Avisail Garcia - OF, TB vs. KC ($3600)

Garcia will continue to see regular playing time with Austin Meadows (thumb) on the 10-day injured list. Garcia started out super slow, but he has picked up the pace with five extra-base hits and six RBI across his past eight outings, posting 12.2 or more FanDuel fantasy points in in five of those outings. His DFS salary is still being tamped down by those early-season struggles, but he is on a nice little roll lately, and he should be part of your Rays stack vs. Junis.

Mitch Haniger - OF, SEA at SD ($4300)

Haniger is hitting just .237 against right-handed pitching this season, but when he collects those hits he is making them count. He has eight doubles, a triple and six home runs with 14 RBI and 21 runs scored in his 93 at-bats vs. RHP. If anything is going to make Paddack pay, it's Haniger.

J.D. Martinez - OF, BOS vs. DET ($4100)

Martinez comes with a cheap price tag despite the fact he is hitting .330 with four bombs and 11 RBI so far this season. He is 1-for-8 over his first two games against the Tigers, so he is due and should pick up points in bunches in Wednesday's game.
