FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/22/18): NBA DFS Lineups

I almost started this article by talking about how great all today's series have been but that's a lie. The Warriors are going to continue to slap the Spurs around. Nothing against the Spurs; they are just missing their best player and the Warriors are just that good. You shouldn't completely avoid that game but most Spurs and Warriors should be faded simply because their ceiling is capped by lack of competition. Other than that series, the playoffs have been nothing but exciting.

The Cavaliers and Pacers are in a tightly-locked series and the pressure is mounting on both sides. While the Cavaliers have been facing this pressure and adversity all season, we will see how the Pacers react this game. Cleveland will need to win this game to avoid SERIOUS pressure and after Lance Stephenson decided to basically call "scoreboard" against LeBron James, you might as well cash this one in as a Cavalier win. The Wizards are looking to extend the series another game with a win and they gained momentum after a game three win. John Wall and Bradley Beal need to be considered, especially with their getting pushed up against...the wall. I didn't even mean to do that, so I guess I better just stop there.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/22/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Darren Collison - PG, vs. CLE ($6,100)

With a cheap price and no real competition for minutes, Darren Collison has had his fair share of struggles this first round series. Despite taking at least seven shots a game, he has only one game scoring in double-digits. Seeing how that has little affect on his overall minutes, its just more of the same from Collison. He's consistent in his style but his production is still streaky. Last game he could barely find the rim so look for a rebound game from Collison although the Cavaliers will come out firing and should win this game.

Klay Thompson - SG, at SA ($6,500)

I hate being repetitive, but as long as Stephen Curry remains out, Klay Thompson is going to have the most upside on the team. I don't need to tell you about his shooting ability, but even against the Spurs he has been able to score. Nearing 30 two of the three games tells you that Thompson is going to be able to score regardless who the Spurs decide to line up against him. He is somewhat consistent and point dependent, so there's always the chance that the Spurs spend the entire time trying to lock Thompson down. That is me playing into the devil's advocate take but it's always a possibility. Even then, I'd still play Thompson.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

C.J. Miles - SF, at WAS ($3,500)

Although C.J. Miles is a three-dependent option, his near 20% usage rate off the bench gives him upside. The Wizards have been struggling in multiple aspects and Miles should have no problem, once again, producing by no other means than jumpshots. With his price so low and a serious lack of dependable SF options, it's hard not to take Miles, Kyle Anderson or Lance Stephenson. All three have upside tonight, but only Miles has the track record of proven production recently.

Mike Scott - PF, vs. TOR ($3,800)

Another cheap option but Mike Scott has been one of those players all season. His production has been spotty but his experience and composure has been waiting for playoffs. He's one of the more productive Wizards this series and Scott's style makes it hard for him NOT to produce. The Raptors still lack a defensive wing that can hold players with Scott's stature, so look for him to get to his spots and hopefully produce like he has games one through three.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Pau Gasol - C, @ GSW ($3,700)

Even though the Warriors style of play seems to be the opposite of everything Pau Gasol stands for, he's still producing. His ceiling seems limited because of his age, but it actually gives him an advantage. The Spurs aren't going to try and beat the Warriors at their own game, and luckily Gasol can fit in any attack the Spurs might throw at Golden State. If Gasol wasn't contributing in other categories like he was, I would happily fade him, but since there are so few options at center with even less value, Gasol is one of the few. There aren't many centers tonight that are guaranteed minutes and production with a low price tag.

Other FanDuel DFS Centers to Consider: Lucas Nogueria - C at WAS ($3,500)
