EPL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings Soccer - Matchday 38 (7/26/20)

Richard's DraftKings DFS lineup picks for EPL Matchday 38 on July 26th, 2020. Read his daily fantasy soccer advice, matchup breakdowns and DFS sleepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Here we are SUPER SUNDAY! The reason it's called that is it's the last game of the season, and all teams play at the same time with an 11 am ET kickoff. With all 20 teams playing, the format of this article is going to be a little bit different, as I'm not going to cover previews for the games.

Instead, I thought I'd share a few (a lot more) picks for the slate, as well as my favorite Super Sunday moment. Mainly because the entire league came down to one 93rd minute goal that won the league. It can only be the famous Aguerooooooo moment where Manchester City won their first Premier League title. To understand the moment fully, watch this video on YouTube (it's seven minutes long, but takes you through the twists and turns) of the final game where the title shifted hands several times. Or if you just want to see the end (and the stadium reaction) then have a look at this one.

Now, back to this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/26/20 for the slate that locks at 1:00 pm ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. The DraftKings DFS slate is for ten games, so there are plenty of names to consider for your lineups. If you aren't familiar with how players score in soccer on DraftKings take a look at their scoring methodology. And to submit a lineup you need to select one goalie, two defenders, two midfielders, two forwards, and a utility player (most likely a midfielder/ forward). You can always find me on Twitter @RichKingFF if you have any questions. Good luck RotoBallers!

DraftKings DFS Midfielders / Forwards

You'll see as we go through the slate that there are lots of players that have dual eligibility to be in your midfield or forward slot. Here you are looking for players that are constant scoring threats, as well as players that get involved in wide areas where they can put in crosses.

There is no shortage of elite ability on this slate, with all of the teams playing. However, in the final match, you sometimes see the teams rest players if they don't have anything to play for. Meaning that the likes of Mohamed Salah ($9,200) and Sadio Mane ($8,500) could have limited involvement in their game.

However, Manchester City will be wanting to send off long-time playmaker David Silva ($7,000) who is going to leave the club at the end of the season. Making him a fantastic addition, as the team will be looking to get him involved. Outside of him, and of their attacking options are worth consideration. Kevin De Bruyne ($10,700) and Raheem Sterling ($10,300) are the premier options, but Gabriel Jesus ($7,800) should be the starting striker for the team again.

After that, there are a few duos that I'd consider. The most expensive are Son Heung-Min ($9,600) and Harry Kane ($9,400) who are constant goal-scoring threats for Tottenham.

Then there is the wide duo of West Ham wingers Michail Antonio ($8,800) and Jarrod Bowen ($8,000).  Both of them have shown they have been effective in the final third of the field, with Antonio having a fantastic outing a few weeks ago.

Then I have a few players that are a bit more a roll of the dice, but who are interesting if you are playing several lineups on the slate. They are split into goalscoring poachers and wingers, who have a decent opportunity to score.

Poachers

Just to quickly explain the phrase, if you aren't familiar with it, this type of player will be in the box and not really contribute to the team outside of that area of the field. On this slate, the players that I'd consider that fit the mold of a poacher are Danny Ings ($8,400)Jamie Vardy ($7,700)Oliver Giroud ($7,000), and Troy Deeney ($6,000).

All four of those players are lethal in the box if given even the smallest of opportunities. If you really need a true hail-mary then Callum Wilson ($4,600) and Joshua King ($4,300) are worth consideration. Bournemouth might be relegated, but these two players will be looking to put themselves in the shop window for a transfer in the summer.

Wingers

Wingers are the guys that stay out wide, putting in crosses, until they are given the opportunity of cutting inside and threatening the goalkeeper. On this slate, I'd be comfortable with Anthony Martial ($7,900)Richarlison ($7,700), Nathan Redmond ($7,100), and Wilfried Zaha ($6,300). All four of them get forward often for their team and have been a true goalscoring threat in the league too.

DraftKings DFS Defenders

Defenders are where it starts to get interesting. In an ideal world, you want a defender who has a good chance of keeping a clean sheet while getting involved in attacking play. This slate doesn't have a team that looks like it will have a good chance to keep a clean sheet, so it's a case of looking at wing-backs.

There is, of course, Trent Alexander-Arnold ($7,700) who is the most expensive defender on the slate, with his involvement in the team's attacking phases of the game. Then, there is a slightly cheaper option that is used equally as much in the final third of the pitch, in Lucas Digne ($7,000)Digne has been mentioned several times since the league restarted, with his involvement in set-pieces (taking both corners and free-kicks) as well as being an accurate crosser of the ball.

Then there are a bunch of players that are all grouped together in terms of cost. There is the wing-back duo from Tottenham Serge Aurier ($5,100) and Ben Davies ($4,100) who are both used by the team in getting forward in the wider areas of the field, getting in crosses often for the team.

Leicester also has a duo of wing-backs in a similar mold. However, they have a tougher matchup with a potent Manchester United facing them. That might limit the ability of both James Justin ($4,900) and Luke Thomas ($4,400) in getting forward, but they are worth considering if you are playing multiple lineups.

If you are needing a cheaper option, then you could opt for Aymeric Laporte ($3,900) or Virgil can Dijk ($3,600). Both are limited in how often they get forward, but have the ability to score from set-pieces and have an opportunity at keeping a clean sheet for the week.

DraftKings DFS Goalkeepers

There are a lot of options in the slate, so again, it's more a case of who is available with the budget that you have left. There are a few options that are on the pricy side, but truly I think that given the options, the most expensive option I'd be able to slot in my lineups is Emiliano Martinez ($5,300). He has been a fantastic stand-in for Arsenal since he was given the opportunity during the restart.

Then there is a duo of options that are slightly cheaper that are worth considering. Jordan Pickford ($4,900) has saved his team on several occasions, but shouldn't be asked to do too much against a Bournemouth attack that has largely been toothless this season. Equally, his international rival, Nick Pope ($4,800) is worth putting in your lineups. Pope has played himself into true contention to be in England's squad, potentially the starting goalkeeper for his national side, with his impressive performances in-between the sticks. With Burnley due to face Brighton, he has a great chance of keeping a clean sheet.

Slightly cheaper, I'd be happy in selecting Lukasz Fabianski ($4,500) or Dean Henderson ($4,400). Both have matchups that should mean they will have work to do in stopping their opposition scoring, but equally, they have a great chance at keeping a clean sheet- which is the aim in selecting a goalkeeper.

And that's it! Any questions, you know where to find me otherwise Good Luck RotoBallers.
