DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani ($10,400 DraftKings; $10,000 FanDuel) vs. Mariners

Shohei Ohtani will face the Mariners at home tonight. He has a 3.30 xFIP this season. More importantly, the Mariners strike out quite a bit against right-handed pitching this season. Seattle's lineup has a combined strikeout percentage of 26% against right-handed pitching this season. Ohtani will also be at home here where he has a 2.31 ERA compared to 4.50 on the road. Fire up Ohtani as your top starting pitcher in the expensive tier on both sites tonight.

Gerrit Cole ($11,000 DK; $10,500 FD) vs. Red Sox

Cole is not without some risk tonight. He left his last start due to cramping and in the two starts before that, he allowed at least five earned runs. Still, it's a soft matchup against the Red Sox. He hasn't faced Boston so far this season, but in his last four starts against the Red Sox last year he recorded 8, 10, 12, and 7 strikeouts. I anticipate another high strikeout game here for Cole and he should put up a high score if he can keep the runs to a minimum.

Tyler Wells ($8,300 DK; $9,700 FD) vs. Royals

The Royals are another team that strikes out a lot. Kansas City has a combined 26% strikeout percentage against right-handed pitching. Wells is pitching at home in this one. Baltimore is favored and the game carries a low over/under total of only eight runs. He's especially underpriced on DraftKings so it makes the most sense to use him there as your SP2.

Other Options: Jordan Montgomery, Luis CastilloDylan Cease

DraftKings, FanDuel Value Hitters - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Willie Calhoun ($2,000) vs. Garrett Whitlock - DraftKings only

Calhoun is the minimum price on DraftKings tonight after hitting leadoff for the Yankees in the past few games. He's certainly underpriced for his role tonight. Going up against Whitlock, who has allowed a .271 ISO to left-handed batters this season it's a good matchup, especially in Yankees Stadium where they have the short porch in right field.

Seth Brown ($2,500 FD) at Adrian Houser

Brown is the best value play on FanDuel tonight. He gets a park upgrade going to Milwaukee here. Brown has a .237 ISO against right-handed pitchers and Houser doesn't have much in the way of stuff to get out left-handed hitters. Houser has just an 11% strikeout percentage against left-handed hitters this season, which should allow Brown to take advantage of this matchup with his power hitting.

Manny Machado ($3,300 FD) at Austin Gomber

Machado is way too cheap on FanDuel tonight at this price. He's one of the best plays on the entire slate regardless of price in this matchup against Gomber at Coors Field. His numbers are down this year, but this is the perfect get-right spot against a pitcher who has allowed a .240 ISO to right-handed hitters this season.

DraftKings, FanDuel Expensive Hitters - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Fernando Tatis Jr. ($6,400 DK; $4,500 FD) at Austin Gomber

Gomber was staked to a huge lead early in the game against the Royals in his last start, but he couldn't even make it out of the fourth inning before being removed. That was on the road in Kansas City, which is a pitchers' park. He'll have to try to get it done at home in Coors Field against the Padres. Tatis has a .425 ISO against left-handed pitching this season and the matchup doesn't get better than facing Gomber at Coors.

Ronald Acuna Jr. ($6,500 DK; $4,600 FD) vs. Josiah Gray

Gray is an extreme fly ball pitcher and Acuna is one of the best hitters in baseball. Acuna also provides event upside in that he's not just a great hitter but can steal bases once he reaches base safely. Gray has allowed a .200 ISO to right-handed batters this year and Acuna has a .228 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. More importantly, Acuna has just a 14% strikeout percentage against right-handed pitching this season. When Gray gives up contact, it's mostly through the air giving Acuna a good chance at a home run tonight.

Juan Soto ($6,100 DK; $4,100 FD) at Austin Gomber

The Padres are going to be popular tonight and with good reason. After a slow start to the season, Soto has really come on as of late. I don't expect Gomber to really slow him down, especially in a matchup at Coors Field. Gomber hasn't taken advantage of his platoon split this year as he's allowed a .333 ISO to left-handed hitters this year. That's not gonna get it done against a guy like Soto in this spot.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

  1. San Diego Padres
  2. Atlanta Braves
  3. Milwaukee Brewers
  4. Oakland Athletics

I've already mentioned three different Padres bats in this article so it should be no surprise that they're my top stack tonight. The Braves and Brewers are two other stacks in great matchups and should be the stacks you look to that can attempt to keep up with the Padres tonight. Oakland is the best value stack tonight as they offer the most bang for your buck with plenty of underpriced players.
