DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (10/2/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Rhys Hoskins - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on October 2, 2022. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Today's MLB slates are split up as is the norm for late-season baseball. Half the guys I think will play will not, so you have to be as flexible as Gumby to play MLB DFS in September and October, but that also means that there is a lot of money out there should you dare to dive in those waters. That's why we're here.

There are eight games on the main slate for the last Sunday of the regular season. Two pitchers tip the scales at five figures on both sites today. It's not the prettiest pitching slate, but we can make do.

As always, this article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. Sunday's main slate locks at 12:35 pm EST on 10/2/2022. The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack! You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. Now that we got all of that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shane Bieber vs. KC ($10,700 DK, $10,600 FD)

Bieber has dominated the Royals in two starts this year, allowing just one earned run in 12.2 innings. The 11 strikeouts is a little low, but Bieber's K rate against the Royals in his career is still a lofty 32.8%. This incarnation of the Royals is only hitting .200 off of Bieber. If he can get around Salvy, this is a cake matchup for Shane.

Adam Wainwright vs. PIT ($7,900 DK, $8,700 FD)

I really like the discount on Wainwright on DK, especially since he's at home and facing the Pirates. Wainwright has two dominant starts against the Pirates this season, allowing just one run in 13 innings and allowing as many hits as strikeouts (nine). Wainwright's sparkling 2.61 ERA at home leads me to believe that he's closing out the regular season in style today. He won't get the strikeouts that a lot of pitchers do, but there are no really high strikeout pitchers on the slate today anyway.

Also consider: Zack Wheeler, Marcus Stroman

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Rhys Hoskins - 1B, PHI at Patrick Corbin ($4,900 DK, $3,200 FD)

Yes, I'm going after Corbin again. It may be my last chance to do so! Any Phillies stack has to start with Hoskins. He is 11-for-33 with four homers and four doubles in his career against Corbin. I really like the price on FD, but Hoskins works on both sites in a superb matchup.

Bo Bichette - SS, TOR vs. Michael Wacha ($5,300 DK, $4,100 FD)

SS is loaded today and Bichette's price is a little tougher to swallow on FD. He's the highest-priced SS over there. Bichette is 4-for-9 lifetime against Wacha with the Jays' only homer off of him. Wacha had a rough go of it against the Orioles in his last start and wasn't sharp against the Yankees before that. I'm not going after Wacha, but I do want a little exposure since he is finally slowing down a little.

Rougned Odor - 2B, BAL at Chi Chi Gonzalez ($2,400 DK, $2,400 FD)

Chi Chi goes from the scrap heap to the Yankees rotation. There's really no reason not to go after him in arguably the friendliest hitter's park east of the Rockies. Odor is hitting .324 with a homer and nine RBI in the last 10 days with only four strikeouts. The Yankees are playing for Judge right now, so this lineup could be a skeleton crew behind Chi Chi. For a guy like Odor who makes a lot of contact, we could see a few balls sneak through.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Seiya Suzuki - OF, CHC vs. Chase Anderson ($5,500 DK, $2,700 FD)

Suzuki is an absolute steal on FanDuel. In his three games since he return from the restricted list, Suzuki has four hits in 11 tries, four runs scored, and a homer. There aren't many of his teammates on base around him, but this is a great matchup for Suzuki and the rest of the Cubs. It has been a rough season for the Cubs and Suzuki, but he looks to be finishing strong.

Hunter Renfroe - OF, MIL vs. Pablo Lopez ($4,600 DK, $2,800 FD)

Renfroe is closing strong with a .351 average, three homers, and seven RBI in the last 10 games. Pablo Lopez has scuffled after a strong start to the season. He gave up 16 runs in five September starts and has a 4.97 ERA over the last six weeks. I don't trust the Brewers' bats enough to really go after Pablo, but I will ride the hot hand.

Bryan De La Cruz - OF, MIA at Freddy Peralta ($2,500 DK, $2,600 FD)

This isn't the Freddy Peralta that we're used to. The Brewers have been using him out of the bullpen for the last couple of weeks, so he likely won't even notch five innings. Meanwhile, De La Cruz is one of the hottest hitters going right now. He is hitting .410 with three homers, nine RBI, and three steals in the last 10 games alone. He's far too cheap on both sites, especially on DK.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here are my top stacks for tonight (in the order in which I like them):

Philadelphia Phillies - Corbin has a 10.97 ERA in three starts against the Phillies this year. I would start the batboy against him today...

New York Yankees - Kyle Bradish just got lit up by Boston earlier this week, allowing seven runs and recording seven outs. He does have strikeout upside, but he has had two rough outings in the last three tries. The middle outing? He two-hit the Astros and struck out ten in 8.2 innings. This isn't quite a smash spot for the Yankees, but given Bradish's last outing, his struggle against the Yankees earlier this year, and the extreme hitter's park, this is still a good spot.

Honorable mention: Baltimore Orioles

I hope I gave you a head start on your research today and I wish you the best of luck! If you ever have questions about DFS or fantasy baseball, my DMs are always open and I appreciate you taking the time to read my picks today.
