DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/11/18): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on June 11th, 2018. Adam Meyer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have an eight-game slate on Monday and the player pool will be scarce. Only two games have an over/under of at least nine total runs and only two teams are heavy favorites (-185 or greater).

Thankfully, those two teams have pitchers worthy of a roster spot: Cleveland and St. Louis. The Indians are also involved in the highest over/under for Monday, so any of their bats jump to the front of the line.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/11/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @CharlieSideHstl.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Carlos Carrasco, CLE (@ CWS) - $10,700

While it’s great to see Madison Bumgarner back on the hill, his pitch count (90-95) worries me. So, that makes Carrasco one of best, if not the best, pitching option on the board for Monday. He dominated in his last outing: 7 IP, 1 ER, and 10 K (vs. MIL). The White Sox are sixth in team strikeouts (590) and 27th in runs scored (246 runs in 63 games) this season. In 2017, Carrasco was 3-0 (four total starts) with a 1.23 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 29.1 innings of work against Chicago. The experts in Vegas have also deemed the Indians as the strongest favorite of the slate (-225).

Jose Quintana, CHC (@ MIL) - $8,100

After a shaky start to 2018, Quintana has seemed to find his groove over the last few appearances. He’s allowed two earned runs, or less, in three of the past four games, including two shutout outings. Quintana has also K’d at least six batters in five straight performances. Milwaukee is 10th in team strikeouts this season (577). The Brewers are 23rd in team wOBA (.305) this season, as well.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

C - Buster Posey, SF (@ MIA) - $4,000

I usually don’t spend this much money on a catcher, but slate doesn’t really provide suitable punts and my salary can take the hit. Posey went oh-fer on Sunday against Max Scherzer, but produced a nine-game hitting streak prior to that matchup. During that span, he hit four extra-base hits (two home runs) and tallied eight RBI. His .213 ISO against left-handed pitchers puts him third on the Giants.

1B - Paul Goldschmidt, ARI (vs. PIT) - $5,000

There isn’t a hitter on the planet hotter than Goldschmidt right now. Last week, Goldy gathered 16 hits (.640 AVG) with six doubles, one triple, and four home runs. He’s notched at least two hits in five consecutive games. I’ll gladly spend the $5K on the best bat of the slate and I strongly suggest that you do the same.

2B - Matt Carpenter, STL (vs. SD) - $3,300

During this six-game hitting streak, Carpenter has compiled multi-hit performances in half of them. He’s 10-for-26 (.385) with two doubles and one home run (three walks) in the past week. The Cardinals are projected to score 4.7 runs on Monday, tied for second-most on the slate. Carpenter is tied with Marcell Ozuna with the team’s highest ISO against right-handed pitchers (.227).

3B - Zack Cozart, LAA (@ SEA) - $3,300

To be honest, I’m not thrilled with this decision, but the price and ISO numbers are hard to avoid. Cozart has a .245 ISO against southpaws since 2017. However, if Jason Kipnis is heathy enough to start for Cleveland, I’d consider starting Kipnis at 2B and moving Carpenter to 3B for your DK lineup.

SS - Francisco Lindor, CLE (@ CWS) - $5,000

Cleveland leads the slate with a 5.4 implied run total for Monday. Lindor tallied three hits in his last start and broke an oh-fer slump that spanned across five games. Against righties, Lindor has a .245 ISO, which is third-highest among his teammates. For the SS position, you can either spend up on Manny Machado or Lindor, or you punt and pray. I’ll spend the money here and lock in a stud.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Andrew McCutchen, SF (@ MIA) - $4,000

Cutch has been crushing recently. He’s 9-for-25 (.360) with two doubles and two home runs. Other than a 0-for-1 pinch hit appearance on Sunday, McCutchen had a streak of four games with multiple hits. He also owns a .285 ISO against left-handed pitchers since 2017. The Florida native has a .329 AVG in 70 at-bats when playing at Marlins Park.

Randal Grichuk, TOR (@ TB) - $3,400

This Blue Jays outfielder is flying under the radar. He’s 8-for-19 (.421) with two doubles and two home runs in the past week. Grichuk’s ISO isn’t much to talk about, but his price tag and his hot bat make a strong enough case to be added to your DK DFS lineup.

Lonnie Chisenhall, CLE (@ CWS) - $2,900

Lonnie Baseball is back, baby! Chisenhall has compiled at least one hit in four of the five games, since his return, and notched three hits on Sunday at Detroit. Since 2017, Chisenhall has a .225 ISO against right-handed pitchers and we already mentioned that his team is projected to score the most runs on Monday. Factor in the minuscule price tag and I’m sold.
