DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/1/19): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on June 1st, 2019. Ben Rolfe's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

As usual Saturday brings us a loaded day of baseball with a full 15 games spread across the afternoon and evening. The main slate of the days sees eight games taking place from 7:15 pm onward, and is the premium slate on DraftKings today.

In terms of the lines, the Diamondbacks are the favorites, with the Chicago Cubs and Seattle Mariners second and third. As for the totals, the highest line can be unsurprisingly found in Colorado. However, with Marcus Stroman and Jon Gray on the mound there is a lot of pitching talent, making it hard to stump up the premium prices for those hitters.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/1/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. Be sure to also check out all the Vegas Odds for today's slate. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @benrolfe15.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Zack Greinke, ARI (vs. NYM) - $9,200

After a slow start 2019 has been an impressive season for Greinke. In 10 starts he has not allowed more than three earned runs, gone at least six innings every time, and struck out six or more on six occasions. At home his numbers have been especially impressive, allowing seven earned runs with 34 strikeouts in 35 1/3 innings. The Mets also rank 16th in slugging, 17th in home runs and 18th in home runs, meaning they are unlikely to do significant damage. Finally the Mets have been shut out the second most times in the majors this season with seven.

Tommy Milone, SEA (vs. LAA) - $6,400

This one is an upside gamble on a pitcher who has been pretty impressive this season in his two outings. Against a Texas team that can do a lot of damage, he has thrown 10 2/3 innings, allowing four earned runs and striking out 13. As for his opponents, the Angels, they rank 15th in slugging and home runs, and 14th in runs scored. They actually rank top 10 in batting average overall in the majors, but against left-handed pitchers that drops to 26th, and they are 22nd in wOBA against lefties. At a cheap price there is the potential for plenty of reward with Milone.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

C - Jonathan Lucroy, LAA (@ SEA) - $3,700

He is no longer the same hitter but that does not mean there are not times that Lucroy is not useful. Against left-handed pitchers this season he has three home runs in 53 PA, with a .216 ISO and a .451 SLG.

1B - Albert Pujols, LAA (@ SEA) - $3,600

Much like his team mate Lucroy, Pujols is not the hitter he once was. However, he also has solid numbers against left-handed pitchers. This season with lefties on the mound he has four home runs in 65 PA, with a .233 ISO and a .450 SLG.

2B - Michael Chavis, BOS (@ NYY) - $4,500

Chavis has taken the majors by storm in his debut season, hitting 10 home runs already. His power numbers are better against lefties, but with right-handed pitchers on the mound he has six home runs, a .287 batting average, a .475 SLG and a .371 wOBA.

3B - DJ LeMahieu, NYY (vs. BOS) - $4,400

LeMahieu has never been a power hitter and that is not what I am expecting here. What he does provide is solid performances, with 12 extra base hits against right-handed pitchers. His .297 batting average and .336 wOBA against righties give him a solid floor, but he also has the talent to give you a high ceiling.

SS - Tim Beckham, SEA (vs. LAA) - $4,100

Beckham has been impressive in his move to the Pacific North West. The former first overall pick has been especially strong against left-handed pitchers. This season in 54 PA against lefties he has four home runs, a .314 batting average, a .275 ISO and a .392 wOBA.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Hunter Renfroe, SD (vs. MIA) - $5,400

Renfroe is another hitter having a strong start to the season. His numbers against right-handed pitchers are particularly impressive. 20 extra base hits, 12 of which were home runs, a .346 ISO and a .362 wOBA.

Jay Bruce, SEA (vs. LAA) - $4,100

Bruce is a frustrating hitter for season long fantasy leagues but for DFS that frustration makes him useful. The lack of consistency keeps the price low for a hitter with a .321 ISO and 14 home runs in 184 PA. Five of those home runs have come in 44 PA against left-handed pitchers, giving him a .421 ISO and a .386 wOBA.

Dexter Fowler, STL (vs. CHC) - $3,600

This one is a gut feel as much as anything, because Fowler is not a great hitter anymore. He does own a .330 wOBA against left-handed pitchers, as well as a .349 wOBA at home, and that is solid for a guy at this price
