Divisional Round NFL DFS Stacks for FanDuel, DraftKings

Matthew Stafford - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Mark Kieffer's NFL DFS stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings tournaments for the Divisional Round. Use these DFS GPP stacks for daily fantasy football lineups.

Welcome back to another week of NFL DFS GPP Stacks! This is where I talk about the slate and give three stacks you should consider for your GPP lineups!

Before just diving into the picks for this week, some reminders about guidelines I use for stacks. I want games with high point-scoring totals. When looking for a stack, we want to have multiple pieces of a passing offense to score a lot of points. We want teams that can score a lot and will score a lot through the air.

I generally want to fade a stack combination that is projected to be the most popular in the slate. This means I may choose to stack up that team different from the crowd, or I may do an outright fade. With that said, on to the picks!

Divisional Round DFS Slate Context

The way the slates are broken out makes for an interesting mix of contests. We have a Saturday-Sunday slate of four games, a Saturday-only slate of two games, a Sunday-only slate of two games, and a three-game Saturday-Sunday slate on both sites.

My key advice if you are playing multiple slates this weekend is to treat each slate independently of the other slate. Do not let your play on a Saturday-only slate affect your decisions for a Saturday-Sunday slate. Do not let your play on the Sunday-only slate be affected by your decisions on a Saturday-Sunday slate. If Kansas City is your favorite stack for a Saturday-Sunday slate and it's still your favorite stack on Sunday, do not just fade them for example.

I am going to give my favorite stacks of each day on Saturday and Sunday.

Divisional Round DFS Stacks - Saturday

On Saturday, I expect the most popular teams to stack will be Green Bay (implied for 26.5 points) and Tennessee (implied for 25.5 points). On DraftKings, it is not difficult to build a lineup with Ryan Tannehill, A.J. Brown, and Davante Adams.  It also isn't that difficult to get Derrick Henry into that build as well or a Joe Mixon. On FanDuel, it is not difficult to build a lineup with a similar combination of players, especially if not rostering Derrick Henry.

1) Cincinnati - This should be arguably the most owned stack on the slate. Joe Burrow looked pretty impressive at times last week during the playoffs and Cincinnati stacks have been crushing it. The thing is that it is difficult to get to Joe Burrow at quarterback and Joe Mixon is expected to be a popular running back this week.  Really any of the receiving targets are viable. On both sites Burrow-Higgins provides the most value for the money. In a large field tournament, considering Tyler Boyd and/or C.J. Uzomah is very viable as they will be less popular pieces from the game. If you have a Burrow-Chase-Higgins stack and it goes off, do you think you will be different in a tournament with over 100k lineups? What I also like about Cincinnati on DraftKings is that it gets you off of Joe Mixon and Derrick Henry, the likely two chalkiest running backs.

2) Green Bay - Davante Adams will be popular. It isn't that difficult to get him in your lineups especially on DraftKings. Allen Lazard, Josiah Deguara, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Randall Cobb will all be likely single-digit owned players. Taking a stab at one of those is a way to make your lineup different. If you do a Green Bay stack, you can get Henry and Mixon into your lineups pretty easily but it will force you to take some other low owned players at wide receiver that could set your lineup apart in a tournament if it hits.

Divisional Round DFS Stacks - Sunday

On Sunday, we have more games with high totals. Kansas City (27.75 implied), Buffalo (26.25 implied), and Tampa Bay (25.75) all have similar amounts of implied totals. The lowest implied total is Los Angeles (22.75 implied) and that is a higher implied total than both Cincinnati and San Francisco.

1) Los Angeles - Even though they are projected for the least points on the day, Tampa Bay does not have a good pass defense (No. 22), they have a good run defense (No. 3), and if they are expected to be down for the game, they will pass frequently.  Cooper Kupp will be very popular on the Sunday-only slate. One would have to consider excluding Kupp from the stack and choosing two from Odell Beckham Jr., Van Jefferson, and Tyler Higbee. This stack I believe will be lower owned than the other three on the slate and is just as likely as the other stacks from being the top-performing on the slate.

Saturday-Sunday Stack Ranks

If I am playing a two-day slate, both Cincinnati and Los Angeles are my top two. They have the 6th and 7th highest implied totals on the slate (out of eight teams) with the upside to be the top performing stack on the slate.

Thanks for reading, and I wish you the best of luck with your Divisional Round DFS Stacks!
