Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Tuesday 6/8

Top daily fantasy baseball streamers and waiver wire adds for 6/8/21. Mike Marteny identifies MLB hitters and starting pitchers to stream based on matchups.

Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to compile more counting stats, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.

It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.

We have eight pitchers who are over 90% rostered and another eight that are above 50%. That leaves us a little under half the starters to choose from on waivers today.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball draft tools and resources:

Hitter Streamers for 6/8 - Shallow Leagues

Jonathan Schoop (1B/2B, RHB, DET) - 44.7% Rostered

Matchup: at SEA LHP Marco Gonzales

Oh boy. Schoop draws another lefty! He is hitting .417 with four homers, nine RBI, and seven runs scored in the last week, but his hot streak has gone on longer than that. Schoop has reached base safely in all but one game since May 14. Since then, he has raised his average 60 points on the season, hit seven homers, and driven in 18 runs. How is he still under 50% owned while being eligible at 2B?

James McCann (C, LHB, NYM) - 41.2% Rostered

Matchup: at BAL LHP Bruce Zimmerman

If you have a struggling catcher like I do, McCann makes for a great streaming option. He's the only bright spot for a slumping and injured Mets offense right now. He has three homers in his last four games. So what if the starter is a lefty? The Orioles bullpen is one of the worst in the league, and McCann will most certainly get two at-bats against that pen. Ride him until he cools off.

Hunter Renfroe (OF, RHB, BOS) - 40.9% Rostered

Matchup: vs. HOU LHP Framber Valdez

Renfroe's hitting streak was stopped at nine by the Marlins yesterday, but at least he gets to face a lefty tonight. Renfroe is hitting .346 against lefties this year and hits 49 points better against them for his career. The Red Sox used Renfroe at the top of the order yesterday. If they do that again, it could mean extra run opportunities for Renfroe here.

Patrick Wisdom (3B, RHB, CHC) - 37.5% Rostered

Matchup: at SD RHP Dinelson Lamet

Wisdom is hitting .435 with six homers, nine RBI, seven runs, and a steal in the last week. The Cubs can't take him out of the lineup right now. The guy is hitting everything. He is hitting .412 with seven homers, 10 RBI, and nine runs since his callup on May 25. History suggests that Wisdom will cool off at some point, but until he does, he remains an elite streaming option.

Hitter Streamers for 6/8 - Deeper Leagues

Jonathan India (2B/3B, RHB, CIN) - 24.3% Rostered

Matchup: at MIL RHP Adrian Houser

India has cooled after a hot start, but he is showing signs of getting comfortable again with a modest five-game hitting streak. India is hitting .500 with two homers, three RBI, a steal, and six runs scored in that span. Houser's only bad start came against this Reds team back on May 21. I wouldn't expect a huge game against Houser, but India should be in the thick of whatever offensive output the Reds have.

Odubel Herrera (OF, LHB, PHI) - 21.3% Rostered

Matchup: vs. ATL LHP Drew Smyly

Herrera is hitting .391 with two homers, five RBI, and five runs in the last week. The Phillies are thinking enough of Herrera to keep him in the lineup even with a lefty on the hill. Smyly likely wont go deep into the game and this bullpen can be had. Herrera is a good pickup for runs or RBI since he is moving up the order. The homers are a bit of an outlier. Herrera isn't known for his power.

Alex Dickerson (OF, LHB, SF) - 11.5% Rostered

Matchup: vs. TEX RHP Jordan Lyles

Lyles only has three quality starts all season and two of those were against the Angels and Mariners. Now the Giants gain another hitter heading into Texas and Lyles has a 7.83 ERA at home. Dickerson is the best piece of this offense that is still widely available. He is hitting .313 with two homers, four RBI, and three runs in the last week. I definitely want some Giants hitters tonight.

Eric Haase (C, RHB, DET) - 9.9% Rostered

Matchup: at SEA LHP Marco Gonzales

Haase has a pair of two-homer games this week. Overall, he is hitting .438 with five homers, seven RBI, and six runs in five starts in the last week. The homers may not be a lasting thing, but it's really hard to argue with the latest results. Gonzales is solid at home, but this Detroit offense is looking awfully good of late.

Pitcher Streamer for 6/8 - Shallow Leagues

Matthew Boyd (LHP, DET) - 44.5% rostered

Matchup: vs. Seattle

Boyd has been awful over his last four starts, allowing 19 runs (18 earned) in just 20.2 innings pitched. Seattle's offense can cure ailing pitchers. They have enjoyed a marked improvement in June, but that's not saying much. It's easy to improve when the team batting average coming into June was just a hair over the Mendoza line. The team is still hitting a paltry .203 against lefties and striking out 31% of the time against them. The only reason that Boyd still enjoys somewhat high ownership is his strikeout potential. That said, be careful with this. Boyd led the majors in runs and home runs allowed last year and allowed 39 homers in 2019, which led the A.L. He could blow up your ratios here, but I guess early in the week is when you want to take a chance like this.

Pitcher Streamers for 6/8 - Deeper Leagues

Kris Bubic (LHP, KC) - 22% rostered

Matchup: at Angels

Bubic wasn't sharp in his last start against the Twins, and it showed. Still, he only gave up three runs and still notched six strikeouts, so it wasn't a total loss for weekly fantasy leagues. The Angels are struggling against lefties again this year, though it's not as bad as last year. Still, this lineup lacks punch without Mike Trout in it. If last start is as bad as it gets for Bubic (it was easily his worst outing of the season), it's worth taking a risk against another team that struggles against southpaws.

Antonio Senzatela (RHP, COL) - 3.2% rostered

Matchup: at Florida

The season-long numbers still don't look good, but Senzatela has a 3.83 ERA in eight Coors Field starts this year. He hasn't allowed a homer in four straight starts and has really only had one bad start all year. Put him in one of the best pitcher's parks in the league against one of the worst offenses, and I like Senzatela a lot here. He's not going to get you a bunch of strikeouts, but he should at the very least help your ERA and WHIP in this one. If you take out his two starts against the Dodgers, Senzatela's numbers look pretty good.
