Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks for 3/31/20 - DraftKings Daily Fantasy Sports

Jorge Pucks' DraftKings DFS lineup picks for Counter Strike: Global Offensive on 3/31/20. He analyzes CG:SO slates and his top targets for ESports DFS contests.

Welcome to RotoBaller's first-ever Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS article! If you are reading this, you must be missing sports quite a bit but have found solace in DFS ESports! For those that are new to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS set up, you are not alone. I dabbled in Call of Duty quite a bit when I was younger, and Counter-Strike resembles COD quite a bit in my opinion.

You have teams of five and the objective is to plant a bomb while the other team defends. It’s a pretty simple objective so let’s not try to over-analyze things! There are 30 rounds per match (the first to win 16 rounds takes the match) and they play best 2 out of 3. There is no respawning so once you die, you are gone till the next round so Kill Death Ratios are very important to look at it when crafting your roster.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS advice, analysis, and picks, for contests on DraftKings at 12:00 PM, March 31st, 2020. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @rdr1634.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - DFS Basics

From a DFS perspective, you have 6 total spots with 1 of those being a captain spot which gets 1.5X points. With any shooting game, kills and deaths are a big focal point in CSGO DFS. Kills get you 1.5 points and assists get you 1 point while a death gets you -1. This is where the K/D (kill to death ratio) comes into play and is something that you should really pay close attention to.

For rostering, we will want to find guys who can limit the death total and not completely sink our lineups just because of reckless play and die more frequently. Additional bonuses are handed out but the biggest thing to focus on is the kill to death ratio. One overlooked stat is the game length adjustment stat. This is an adjustment that takes a player score, gets multiplied by 30 and then divided by the number of rounds played.

When it comes to roster construction, we will obviously look to fill the captain spot with someone who provides a solid floor but one who can have the most upside as well. For this article, I will look at the different matchups, give a player pool and make some recommendations as to who I like on the slate.

Tuesday's Games: ESL- FP

VP @ MOUZ -385

CPHF @ C9 -200

NV @ HAVU -155

MIBR @ 100T -225

VP @ MOUZ -385

VP was handed a loss by the Faze Clan yesterday and now gets an even tougher opponent as they face the #2 world-ranked CSGO team in Mousesports (Rankings were determined earlier this year) . Mousesports is the largest favorite on the slate and should draw a good amount of ownership but for good reason.

Frozen and Woxic are both good options for the captain role on this slate and Ropz would be one to include on a 3 man stack. Jame really stands out and serves as a great one-off for VP. He has really played well this week and his 1.37 KD ratio is extremely impressive. If looking to get contrarian and go against the crowd, him and Buster would be a 2 man stack that would be risky but low owned.

VP (K/D Ratio)

  • Jame 1.37
  • Buster 1.2
  • Adren .98
  • Qikert 1.14
  • Sanji .88 (69% headshot rate)

Mouz (K/D Ratio)

  • Frozen 1.26
  • Woxic 1.22
  • Ropz 1.19 (52% headshot rate)
  • ChrisJ 1.03
  • Karrigan .82

CPHF @ C9 -200

C9 really stands out in this game against Coppenhagen. Coppenhagen has dropped their first 2 games of the FLashpoint League while C9 has opened up with 2 wins. When glancing at the K/D ratios, it is pretty evident that C9 has the skill advantage in this matchup.

Sonic and Osee both serve as great captain options with Motm and Floppy serving as good value-stack options. CPHF looks to be on the wrong side of this game and I am perfectly fine with fading their side of this game.

CPHF (K/D Ratio)

  • Teses .97
  • Farlig .88
  • Nodios .77
  • Hooxi .72
  • Refresh .71

C9 (K/D Ratio)

  • Sonic 1.10
  • Osee 1.31
  • Motm 1.08
  • Floppy 1.06
  • JT .91

NV @ HAVU -155

Havu looks to be the Vegas favorite in this matchup and they are winners of 3 of their last 4 games in the Flashpoint League. NV comes in dropping their first 2 games of the Flashpoint League and this is a game where we can find some good value if needed.

Havu has 3 really solid players in Slowi, Doto, and Zoree who all possess above a 1 K/D ratio. Slowi seems to be the best option as a captain from this team with him having one of the top ratios and also averaging the most fantasy points on Havu. I would look to do a 3 man stack with the players mentioned above while fading all of NV.

NV (K/D Ratio)

  • Nifty .81
  • Calyx .80
  • Michu .84
  • Ryann .47
  • Moose .70

HAVU (K/D Ratio)

  • Slowi 1.08
  • Doto 1.02
  • Zoree 1.09
  • Hoody .85
  • Saw .72

MIBR @ 100T -225

MIBR was dominated in yesterday’s opening game against Furia but stormed back in game 2 and forced a competitive game 3 which ultimately ended up going to Furia. The match tomorrow won’t be any easier as they take on a 100 Thieves squad which is sitting at the top of the leaderboard in Group C of the ESL Pro League.

MIBR is now 0-2 and at the bottom of the group C leaderboard so a win is a must but unfortunately, it will be a tough task for them to beat a 2-1 100 Thieves team. MIBR had 2 of their 5 with under a 1 K/D ratio (Taco with a 27/47 ratio…. yikes) so really the only ones that could have a strong impact would be KNGV and Meyern who carry the best K/D ratios on the team.

100 Thieves is the team to look at in this matchup and Vegas seems to be leaning this way as well. JKS looks to be the best viable option from this team based on his K/D ratio with Jkaem and Gratisfaction as a part of a 3 man stack for 100 Thieves. On the MIBR side of things, KNGV- and Fallen look to be the 2 best players on this team but I would only view them as lower owned GPP kind of plays. Meyern would be one to consider if looking for salary relief with an ok floor.

MIBR (K/D Ratio)

  • KNGV- 1.28
  • Meyern 1.24 (62% headshot rate)
  • Fallen 1.13
  • Fer 1.08
  • Taco .98

100T (K/D Ratio)

  • JKS 1.17 (56 % headshot rate)
  • Jkaem 1.06
  • Gratisfaction 1.05
  • Liazz 1.00
  • AZR .98

Summary

Captain Plays: JKS (100T), Frozen (Mous), Ropz (Mous), Slowi (Havu), Sonic (C9)

Player Pool: Jame (VP), Buster (VP), Frozen (MOUS), Woxic (MOUS), Ropz (MOUS), ChrisJ (MOUS), Sonic (C9), Osee (C9), Motm (C9), Floppy (C9), Slowi (HAVU), Doto (HAVU), Zoree (HAVU), KNVG- (MIBR), Meyern (MIBR), Fallen (MIBR),  JKS (100T), Jkaem (100T), Gratisfaction (100T)
