Denver Broncos - NFL Betting Analysis

Heading into week 5, the Denver Broncos are looking to bounce back from a loss to the Colts by a score of 12-9, giving them a loss against an AFC opponent. Heading into the game, the Broncos were expected to win as -3.0 point favorites. This outcome resulted in both a straight-up and ATS loss. Together, the two teams combined score remained below the over-under betting line of 42. This was a difficult loss for Denver, as they held 3 point lead heading into the 4th quarter. Through 5 games, the Broncos have an ATS record of 1-4. So far, they have an over-under record of 1-4. This week's betting total of 45.5 is right in line with their previous games.

Heading into this week's matchup, the Broncos' offense is averaging 15.0 points per game, placing them 31st in the NFL. Look for the team to put together a strong offensive performance vs a Chargers defense giving up 27.2 points per game. Although the Broncos come into the game ranked just 19th in pass yards per game, they will benefit from facing a Los Angeles secondary that is vulnerable through the air. We expect Denver to have an above-average performance in the passing attack.

Los Angeles Chargers - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Chargers will look to keep things rolling, after picking up a 30-28 over the Cleveland Browns. This win was pairedwith an ATS victory, as they went into the game by -1.5 point favorites. The teams combined for a total of 58 points, which surpassed the over-under betting line of 47. Los Angeles came back to win the game and cover the -1.5 point spread, despite heading into the 4th quarter trailing 28-27. The Chargers outscored Cleveland by 3 points in the final quarter. Through 5 games, the Chargers have an ATS record of 4-1. So far, they have an over-under record of 3-2. This week's betting total of 45.5 is slightly lower than the line in their previous games.

As the Chargers prepare to take on Denver, they have played well on offense, ranking 9th in points per game at 24.4. Even though they have a tough matchup against the league's 4th ranked defense, look for Los Angeles to continue their strong offensive play. This season, Los Angeles has been one of the better passing teams in the league, averaging 291.2 yards per game through the air. Although the Broncos' defense has been able to limit opposing teams in the passing game, Los Angeles should still be able to continue to generate big plays through the pass. On the ground, our projections show that the Broncos' offense will have its problems. Even though they have a decent matchup against a Denver, look for Los Angeles to come up with fewer rush yards than their season average of 99.2.

Today's NFL Betting Pick - Broncos vs. Chargers

Denver comes into the game looking to continue their recent success over Los Angeles, as they have a record of 3-2 over the last 5 meetings. The over-under record in these games sits at 3-2, with the average scoring total coming in at 45.4 points. Last season, the Broncos and Chargers split their two matchups with Denver picking up a 28-13 win and Los Angeles coming away with a 34-13 victory.

The Denver Broncos have gone 1-2 vs the spread in these games. The Broncos offense has averaged 22.2 points per game over the 5 most recent meetings with Los Angeles, compared to the Chargers at 23.2.

Over their last 3 regular season games, the Broncos have gone 1-2 straight up. In addition, the team has not done well vs the spread, going 1-2. Their over-under record in these games was 1-2.

Although Denver has a straight up record of 0-3 in their last 3 road games, they have not held up as well vs the spread going 0-3. The team averaged 17.33 points per game in these games.

Over their last 3 regular season games, the Chargers have gone 2-1 straight up. In addition, their ATS record over this stretch is 2-1 while posting a 3-0 over-under mark.

Across their last 3 home contests, Los Angeles has been good against the spread posting a mark of 2-1. Their overall mark in these games was 2-1, while averaging 22.67 points per game.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: Broncos 5.5

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Under 45.5
