New Orleans Saints - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the New Orleans Saints are hoping to get back in the win column, after falling 30-26 to the Cincinnati Bengals. New Orleans lost the game by more than anticipated, as the oddsmakers placed New Orleans as 3.0 point underdogs. By the end of the game, the teams combined for 56 points, surpassing the betting line of 43.

In the losing effort, the Saints blew a 2 point lead heading into the 4th quarter, as Cincinnati outscored them by 6 in the final period. Through 6 games, the Saints have an ATS record of 2-4. So far, they have an over-under record of 4-2. This week's betting total of 44.5 is right in line with their previous games.

Heading into this week's matchup, the Saints offense is averaging 23.5 points per game, placing them 12th in the NFL. Look for the team to put together another strong offensive performance, as they are facing a Cardinals defense ranked 23rd in points per game. Although the Saints come into the game ranked just 15th in pass yards per game, they will benefit from facing an Arizona secondary that is vulnerable through the air.

We expect New Orleans to have an above-average performance in the passing attack. A key matchup to watch through the game is if New Orleans will be able to run the ball with their usual effectiveness. Even though they are averaging 151.5 yards per game on the ground, look for them to struggle against a defense that can be tough to run against.

Arizona Cardinals - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Arizona Cardinals are hoping to get back in the win column after falling 19-9 to the Seattle Seahawks. The loss was costly, as it came against a NFC West opponent. With the loss, Arizona failed to cover the spread, as they had a -2.5 advantage on the spread.

The team's combined scoring of 28 points, fell below the posted betting line of 50. In the game, Arizona trailed the Seahawks by a score of 12-9 heading into the 4th quarter. Through 6 games, the Cardinals have an ATS record of 3-3. So far, they have an over-under record of 1-4-1. This week's betting total of 44.5 is slightly lower than the line in their previous games.

As the Cardinals prepare to take on New Orleans, they are ranked 22nd in points per game at 19.0. Look for the team to put together a strong offensive performance vs a Saints defense giving up 26.3 points per game. Although the Cardinals come into the game ranked just 16th in pass yards per game, they will benefit from facing a New Orleans secondary that is vulnerable through the air.

We expect Arizona to have an above-average performance in the passing attack. On the ground, our projections show that the Cardinals' offense will have its problems. Even though they have a decent matchup against a New Orleans, look Arizona to come up with fewer rush yards than their season average of 119.33.

Today's NFL Betting Pick - Saints vs. Cardinals

New Orleans comes into the game looking to continue their recent success over Arizona, as they have won 2 of their last 3 matchups. The two teams have combined to average 59.67 points per game in their last 3 meetings. New Orleans and Arizona did not play each other in the 2021-2022 regular season.

The New Orleans Saints have performed well vs the spread in recent games, going 2-1. On average, the Saints have averaged 32.67 points per game in the past 3 head-to-head matchups, compared to Arizona at 27.0.

Through their 3 most recent regular season matchups, the Saints have gone 1-2. In these games they have gone just 2-1 vs the spread, while posting an over-under mark of 3-0.

Across their last 3 road contests, New Orleans has been good against the spread posting a mark of 1-2. Their overall mark in these games was 2-1, while averaging 23.67 points per game.

Across their previous 3 regular season games, the Cardinals have a straight up record of just 1-2. In addition, the team has not done well vs the spread, going 2-1. Their over-under record in these games was 0-3.

Across the Cardinals last 3 home games, the team averaged 16.67 points per game while allowing 28.0. Their record vs the spread in these contests was 1-2, while going 0-3 straight-up.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: Saints +1.0

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Over 44.5
