773 articles

I have been playing fantasy sports since I was in college and have been writing about fantasy football (along with baseball and hockey) for 30 years now. I have had fantasy articles published on the websites for ESPN, Bleacher Report, SportsFan Radio, and the Hockey News, and have now been writing with RotoBaller for almost five years. I have been honored to have written the weekly "Tight End Waiver Wire Column" for RotoBaller the past four years. I have also written a short story collection called "10 Tales To Make Your Head Explode" that was featured on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and a children's book titled "Jeepers" that is currently used by schools around the country in second-grade classrooms. My poetry and short stories have been featured in various magazines over the years as well, so fantasy football is not the only writing I do, but it is easily the most fun. Feel free to follow me on Twitter at @craigrondinone. Thanks for reading my columns and articles and visiting RotoBaller!

Luke Musgrave (TE, GB) - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 2

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 19% of Leagues ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love might be the real deal after all. He sure looked the part against Chicago on Sunday. Rookie tight end Luke Musgrave is arguably the third-best option for Love and supplied fantasy managers with 50 receiving yards […]

Hunter Henry (TE, NE) - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 2

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of Leagues ANALYSIS: The addition of Mike Gesicki in the offseason did not bode well for Hunter Henry’s 2023 fantasy outlook, but the touchdown-loving veteran has gotten off to a good start. He was able to haul in five Mac Jones spirals for 56 yards […]

Josh Downs - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

Should I Pick Up and Start Josh Downs? Fantasy Football Outlook

If you are one of the many fantasy football general managers with no idea who Josh Downs is, what position he plays, and which NFL team he is on, you are not alone. When I chose to do this column, I thought it was about Arizona Cardinals quarterback Joshua Dobbs. Then I thought Downs must […]

Greg Dulcich Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Tight End Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 1: Top Free Agent Adds Include Greg Dulcich, Tyler Conklin, Dawson Knox

If you completed your fantasy football draft and you feel like you need a tight end, you should probably fire yourself. Fear not! The waiver wire in your fantasy league will never be loaded with so much available tight end talent as it is right now. You will be able to right your colossal wrong. […]

Free Agency Check - Quarterback ADP Risers and Fallers

Fantasy Football Breakouts, Busts, and Locks - Green Bay Packers 2023 Outlook

The Green Bay Packers are in a state of flux for the first time in a long, long time. Some of the Packer faithful are choking on their provolone and cheddar sandwiches because Aaron Rodgers is no longer running the offense. The reins have been handed over to youngster Jordan Love, and the fantasy football […]

Fantasy Football Breakouts, Busts, and Locks - Seattle Seahawks 2023 Outlook

The Seattle Seahawks are on the tips of the tongues of many football and fantasy football experts this preseason. Seattle has suddenly become one of the August darlings of pigskin pundits and prognosticators. Many people believe the Seahawks have more talent than any team in the NFC West, including the loaded San Francisco 49ers. The […]

Overhyped "Sleepers" for 2023 Fantasy Football - Stop That Hype Train on Anthony Richardson, Damien Harris, more

Conductor, it is time to slam the breaks on the hype train! Fantasy footballers love sleepers more than Mike Lindell and his MyPillow company. This time of year, with NFL training camps opening their doors, fantasy managers are feverishly working on their cheat sheets for their drafts and pegging which players could be sleepers this […]

Fantasy Football Breakouts, Busts, and Locks - New York Jets 2023 Outlook

The expectations are higher than a skyscraper for the New York Jets now that Aaron Rodgers will be the one running the offense. No longer will we see the conglomerate of injury-prone, interception-prone, and over-the-hill quarterbacks the team has trucked out the last couple of years. Rodgers should elevate the fantasy values of everyone around […]

baker mayfield fantasy football rankings quarterbacks draft sleepers NFL DFS lineup picks

Baker Mayfield 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook

QB Baker Mayfield has not done himself, his NFL teams, or his fantasy football managers any favors over the past couple of years. Mayfield is now on his fourth team in three seasons. His fantasy prospects have significantly diminished since he entered the league as the No. 1 overall pick out of Oklahoma in 2018. […]

Elijah Mitchell - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Overvalued Fantasy Football Running Backs - Backup RBs Getting Too Expensive

While more and more NFL teams are embracing a running back-by-committee (RBBC) strategy, fantasy football managers know there are still some workhorses out there who get the bulk of the carries in their respective backfields. While these bell cow backs come at a steep price, having them on your fantasy team gives you a competitive […]

Cooper Kupp - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, Draft Targets

What To Make Of Injured WRs (Cooper Kupp, Odell Beckham Jr., Michael Thomas)

When NFL players suffer injuries during the season, fantasy football managers are forced to keep an eye on them during the offseason to figure out how healthy they will be for the next season. The wide receiver position is always important in fantasy football, especially with the way the NFL has transformed into a passing […]

Which Teams Could Sign Randall Cobb? Fantasy Football Outlook

Randall Cobb has had a storied career over his dozen years in the NFL, but he has not really done many favors for fantasy football managers, especially during the past few seasons. Cobb is a solid veteran slot receiver who can be rotated in and out depending on the passing package, and he provides leadership […]

Will The Arizona Cardinals Release Robbie Anderson?

Robbie Anderson was unhappy with the Carolina Panthers during the 2022 NFL season, so he got himself traded to the Arizona Cardinals. Unfortunately, the fantasy football managers who rostered Anderson were the ones left unhappy. Anderson was primed to have his fantasy value elevated once he became a member of pass-happy Kliff Kingsbury’s receiving corps, […]

Will Braxton Berrios Be Released By The New York Jets? Fantasy Football Outlook

Braxton Berrios has been the epitome of a team player for the New York Jets since joining the team in 2019. The man has suited up for all 65 games the Jets have played over the past four years, he has returned kickoffs and punts, he has been the starting slot receiver at times and […]

Raheem Mostert - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Will The Miami Dolphins Re-Sign Raheem Mostert? Fantasy Football Outlook

Raheem Mostert has always been a head-scratcher of a talent for fantasy football managers. He has the speed of a track star and the body of a bruiser, so he can run outside or between the tackles with equal effectiveness. When Mostert has been healthy during his career he has been an above-average running back […]

D.J. Chark - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Will the Detroit Lions Re-Sign D.J. Chark? Fantasy Football Outlook

The Detroit Lions had a resurgence in 2022 under the leadership of hard-nosed head coach Dan Campbell. They missed making the playoffs by one game, but they were one of the most exciting teams to watch during the second half of the season, and quarterback Jared Goff played his best football in five years (4,438 […]

Jimmy Garoppolo fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

Which Quarterback Will the New York Jets Acquire this Offseason? Derek Carr, Aaron Rodgers, Jimmy Garoppolo? Fantasy Football Outlook

The New York Jets need a quarterback as much as Beyonce fans need money to buy tickets for her upcoming world tour. Supposed franchise quarterback Zach Wilson is not the answer. Average-talent folk hero Mike White is not the answer, either. Joe Namath cannot step into a Fountain of Youth and come out as the […]

Evan Engram - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Is Evan Engram A Free Agent In 2023? Which team will sign Engram this offseason? Fantasy Football Outlook

Evan Engram was known as an underachieving tight end who dropped too many passes and was held back by a New York Giants offense during his five seasons with the organization. He needed a fresh start, and he got one after signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars last offseason. If Engram needed to prove to people […]

Christian McCaffrey - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Is Christian McCaffrey Healthy or Injured? Fantasy Football Injury Update

The San Francisco 49ers did not trade a cavalcade of draft picks to the Carolina Panthers for running back Christian McCaffrey for no reason. They knew his versatility, game-breaking ability, and nose for the end zone made him one of the top tailbacks in the NFL and he would be a big boost for San […]

Justin Fields - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Which Team Has the #1 Pick in the 2023 NFL Draft?

There was a lot of great football played during the 2022 NFL regular season. There was also a lot of bad football played. But the team that played the worst and lost the most games received the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. That always presents an exciting opportunity for any franchise, and it […]

Is Jamison Crowder Healthy or Injured? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Many fantasy football players and pundits thought that Jamison Crowder was in line to be a late-round steal at the start of the 2022 NFL season after he inked a deal with the Buffalo Bills. After a couple years being stuck in the pathetic offense of the New York Jets, Crowder was primed to be […]

Kenneth Walker III - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Is Kenneth Walker III healthy or injured? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Kenneth Walker III saved the Seattle Seahawks’ season, especially down the stretch when quarterback Geno Smith started turning the ball over like Mark Sanchez. Walker rushed for 100 yards in three consecutive contests to end the year and is the focus of the offense heading into Seattle’s Wild Card week tilt against division rival San […]

Trevor Lawrence - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Is Trevor Lawrence Healthy or Injured? Fantasy Football Injury Update

The Jacksonville Jaguars won the AFC South division and are now in the NFL playoffs for the first time since 2017. Now they get to host the Los Angeles Chargers, a team they pummeled 38-10 in Week 3. But will Jacksonville’s franchise quarterback be ready to go at gametime? Trevor Lawrence has proven why he […]

Tyler Boyd - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Is Tyler Boyd Healthy or Injured? Fantasy Football Injury Update

The defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals are hosting a playoff game this Sunday night. Will all of their receiving corps be intact? Cincinnati’s pass catchers have been banged-up a lot during the second half of the season, including No. 3 WR Tyler Boyd. He has been battling a finger injury that happened before Christmas and […]

Should I Pickup and Start Colby Parkinson For Fantasy Football Week 18? Waiver Wire Outlook

The Seattle Seahawks have confounded fantasy football managers all season long with their talented tight end trio. Fantasy footballers have tried to figure out which tight end QB Geno Smith is going to target on a weekly basis, but it has proven to be futile. Veteran No. 2 TE Will Dissly is on the injured […]

Should I Pickup Brock Wright For Fantasy Football Week 18? Waiver Wire Outlook

Nobody would have guessed that Brock Wright would be the most valuable tight end on the Detroit Lions heading into Week 18 of the NFL season. T.J. Hockenson was primed to be a top-5 fantasy tight end entering the campaign, but he was sent to the Minnesota Vikings at the trade deadline when the Lions […]

Tight End Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 18: Top Free Agent Adds Include Taysom Hill, Juwan Johnson, Robert Tonyan, Jordin Akins

Week 18 in the NFL either means a lot to fantasy footballers or it means nothing. Most fantasy leagues wrap things up by Week 17 because so many NFL teams rest players during the final week of the regular season. But for the leagues that play all the way through or for the people who […]

Should I Start The Buccaneers DST in Week 17? Fantasy Football Team Defenses

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have not played at a playoff level this season, but they are one win away from making the playoffs anyway. So why do the Bucs have a losing record as they head into Week 17? Tom Brady is averaging fewer yards per pass than he has over his two-decade-long career. WR […]

Should I Pickup Jelani Woods For Fantasy Football Week 17? Waiver Wire Outlook

The Indianapolis Colts have not given fantasy football managers much to cheer about in 2022, and that is an understatement. Undisputed No. 1 fantasy running back Jonathan Taylor finished with almost 1,000 fewer rushing yards than he did when he won the rushing crown in 2021, and his season is over thanks to an ankle […]

Tight End Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 17: Top Free Agent Adds Include Taysom Hill, Juwan Johnson, Noah Fant, Jordin Akins

Congratulations on reaching the championship game in your fantasy football league! If you have Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, Darren Waller, or George Kittle as your tight end, then you might as well stop reading. But if your team’s tight ends have been inconsistent, are injured, or have tough matchups you do not like, then keep […]
