I have been playing fantasy sports since I was in college and have been writing about fantasy football (along with baseball and hockey) for 30 years now. I have had fantasy articles published on the websites for ESPN, Bleacher Report, SportsFan Radio, and the Hockey News, and have now been writing with RotoBaller for almost five years. I have been honored to have written the weekly "Tight End Waiver Wire Column" for RotoBaller the past four years. I have also written a short story collection called "10 Tales To Make Your Head Explode" that was featured on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and a children's book titled "Jeepers" that is currently used by schools around the country in second-grade classrooms. My poetry and short stories have been featured in various magazines over the years as well, so fantasy football is not the only writing I do, but it is easily the most fun. Feel free to follow me on Twitter at @craigrondinone. Thanks for reading my columns and articles and visiting RotoBaller!

Tight Ends Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups - Week 3 Options Include Hunter Henry, Mike Gesicki, Zach Ertz, Luke Schoonmaker and More

There should not be as many fantasy footballers out there in need of a tight end this early in the season as there is. Millions of fantasy managers were already shorthanded at the position thanks to the season-opening injuries of Cleveland’s David Njoku and Dallas’ Jake Ferguson.  Now add Jacksonville’s Evan Engram to the list […]

Is Joe Mixon Hurt Or Healthy? Fantasy Football Injury Update

The Houston Texans' running back Joe Mixon could not have started the season and started his tenure with his new team any better. His 159 rushing yards and a touchdown in Week 1 probably won millions of fantasy footballers their opening games. Too bad Week 2 was an unmitigated fantasy disaster for Mixon. After being […]

Jake Ferguson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL News

Will Jake Ferguson Play in Week 2? Should I Start Luke Schoonmaker?

Dallas Cowboys starting tight end Jake Ferguson was pegged as a top-10 fantasy TE heading into the 2024 season. One tackle and one injury has now knocked him down a few pegs on the fantasy tight end totem pole, though. Ferguson suffered a sprained knee during Dallas’ Week 1 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Luckily, […]

Tight Ends Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups - Week 2 Options Include Isaiah Likely, Chig Okonkwo, Colby Parkinson, Juwan Johnson, Zach Ertz, more

Welcome RotoBallers to our tight ends fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 2 of the 2024 season! Usually it would be a little early to be shopping for a tight end -- unless you drafted Noah Gray to be your only TE, or you are as impatient as George Steinbrenner used to be when […]

Tight Ends Fantasy Football Waiver Wire - Week 1 TE Pickups Include Taysom Hill, Chigoziem Okonkwo, Hunter Henry, more

If you are already looking for a tight-end upgrade when the season has not even started yet, you should fire yourself as general manager and hand the job to your dog, cat, spouse, or best friend. The tight-end pool might be top-heavy, but there is some serious depth when it comes to low-end TE1s and […]

Overvalued Fantasy Football WR Draft Picks (2024): Stefon Diggs, Marquise Brown, Calvin Ridley, more

Forget about which receiver sleepers you can get in the middle-to-late rounds this week when you have your fantasy football drafts. Focus as much of your attention on staying away from drafting overvalued receivers a couple of rounds too early. The NFL is a pass-first league, so wide receivers are almost on par with running […]

Must-Avoid Running Backs for Fantasy Football Drafts

Alexander Mattison, Miles Sanders, A.J. Dillon, and Dameon Pierce were four running backs who did nobody any fantasy football favors in 2023. Which running backs will be the ones who give fantasy managers sleepless nights and ulcers in 2024? While quarterbacks and wide receivers have become more important in fantasy football as the NFL continues […]

Marquise Brown - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Will Marquise Brown Play in Week 1? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Marquise Brown signed with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the offseason to provide a deep threat for their offense and to reinvigorate his career after two disappointing, injury-plagued seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. The problem is that a preseason injury might already make Brown’s 2024 campaign as disappointing as his last two. […]

DeAndre Hopkins - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I Draft Player Calvin Ridley or DeAndre Hopkins for Fantasy Football? Who Is The Titans WR1 for 2024?

The run-first Derrick Henry-led offenses for the Tennessee Titans are history. Instead of relying on ground-and-pound, the Titans' offense will revolve around two wonderful wideouts who have posted several 1,000-yard years. New head coach Brian Callahan spearheaded one of the most dangerous aerial attacks in the NFL when he called the plays for the Cincinnati […]

Five Fantasy Football Sleepers Who Will Stay Asleep In 2024

Fantasy football managers hang their helmets on finding sleepers -- and sometimes put too much stock in them. Fantasy footballers talk more about sleepers in August than beach lovers talk about suntan lotion. Forget about which running backs will be workhorses and which will be part of committees. Forget about J.J. McCarthy’s knee surgery or […]

When Should I Draft Diontae Johnson? 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy football managers are very happy that Diontae Johnson was able to escape Pittsburgh just like Snake Plissken was able to escape from New York and Los Angeles. Just when Johnson’s fantasy worth was nearing deep-sea depths not seen since his rookie campaign in 2019, he was traded to the Carolina Panthers this offseason. Johnson’s […]

Will Jonathon Brooks Play in Week 1? Fantasy Football Injury Update

The Carolina Panthers boosted their backfield by selecting Texas standout Jonathon Brooks in the second round of this April’s NFL Draft. The question now is whether or not Brooks will be the primary ball carrier right off the bat or if he will have to wait until midseason to take over the Panthers rushing attack. […]

Overvalued Fantasy Football Tight Ends - Potential Busts for 2024 Drafts

When putting together your cheat sheets for your upcoming fantasy football drafts, remember that it is just as important to avoid the busts as it is to find the breakouts. Some big-name tight ends out there have blessed fantasy footballers with plenty of points over the years. The problem is that some of these superstars […]

Tight End Breakout Candidates for Fantasy Football Drafts (2024)

There is never a better time to talk about ADPs than right before your fantasy football draft, and I am not talking about automatic data processing. You know Detroit’s Sam LaPorta is going to be awesome. That is why he is the consensus TE1 on most fantasy draft lists. You know Kansas City’s Travis Kelce […]

Rookie Running Backs With A Potential Workhorse Role for Fantasy Football

It is as difficult to find a workhorse running back for fantasy football as it is to find a winning slot machine in Atlantic City. The league-wide "running-back-by-committees" have ruined the fantasy values of a plethora of players in recent seasons. NFL teams have decided that backs should split the snaps and touches instead of […]

Fantasy Football Running Back Risers for PPR Leagues in 2024

Just like stock prices, fantasy football values go up and go down as player ADP (average draft position) changes throughout the summer. With NFL training camps set to begin here soon, we could likely see plenty more fluctuation taking place in the fantasy football marketplace. This offseason proved to be an interesting one as far […]

Five Risky Fantasy Football Tight End Buys Worth Gambling On In 2024

Do you like to gamble? If so, 2024 might be the year to step away from the poker table, play some fantasy football, and take a flyer on a risky tight end or two. Maybe this article is not for you, though. Maybe you do not want to gamble on your fantasy tight end. Maybe […]

Jaylen Wright - Fantasy Football Rankings, College FB, RB, NFL Draft Sleepers

MarShawn Lloyd, Jaylen Wright, Ray Davis - 2024 Fantasy Football Running Back Outlooks

Running backs got no respect in the 2024 NFL Draft. No running backs were selected in the first round. Only one was taken in the second. Finally, in the third and fourth rounds, the tailbacks started flying off the shelves like notebooks at a back-to-school sale. Will any of these middle-round rookies have any fantasy […]

Fantasy Football Tight Ends Better in Standard Scoring Leagues for 2024

Tight ends are known for racking up receptions. That is more important in some fantasy football leagues than others, however. Point-per-reception (PPR) fantasy leagues give pass-catchers extra points just for catching passes. Some fantasy players love it since a guy who is able to get open 10 times a game and make plays gets extra […]

Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, A.J. Brown - 2024 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Outlooks

The NFL is loaded with as many talented wide receivers as Buffalo Wild Wings is with special sauces. Three of the top-10 wide receivers in fantasy football entering the 2024 NFL season are Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson, Detroit’s Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Philadelphia’s A.J. Brown. They have been consistent performers over the past few years and […]

Three Fantasy Football Breakout Candidates to Target in 2024 Drafts

With NFL training camps set to kick off here in just a few more weeks, it is never too early to predict who the breakout candidates in fantasy football will be. Especially if you're in it to win it this year! One of the most important ways to win in fantasy football is to find […]

Sneaky Fantasy Football Tight Ends - TE1 Candidates for 2024

If you cannot draft one of the top tight ends in fantasy football this September, your next best bet is to find a lower-tier tight end who has a chance to be the TE1 on his team – and yours! Fantasy footballers know who the top tight ends are heading into the 2024 season. Detroit’s […]

Should I Draft Taysom Hill in 2024 Fantasy Football? Does Hill Still Have Value For Fantasy Football?

The most indispensable and irreplaceable part of the New Orleans Saints offense might be utilized a little differently this season. Multi-skilled wonder Taysom Hill had arguably the best year of his seven-year career in 2023. He set personal bests with 114 touches and 692 combined yards (along with six TDs), which he racked up by […]

Deebo Samuel vs. DJ Moore - Who Should I Draft in 2024 Fantasy Football?

Deebo Samuel Sr. of the San Francisco 49ers and DJ Moore of the Chicago Bears are two of the most dynamic receivers in the NFL and two of the most valuable to have in fantasy football. Case closed. Both premier pass catchers are top-25 fantasy receivers heading into the 2024 football season, and both could […]

Time To Hang It Up: Five NFL Running Backs That Should Retire Before The 2024 Season

The 2024 NFL offseason has been littered with notable retirements. Aaron Donald, Fletcher Cox, Jason Kelce, Matt Ryan, and Matthew Slater headline a long laundry list of retirees. Former Arizona Cardinals running back double threat David Johnson hung up his helmet recently to join the group tired of being tackled. He should not be the […]

Three Fantasy Football Veterans You Must Avoid in 2024 - Fantasy Football Busts

It is never too early to peer into the fantasy football crystal ball. While most fantasy fanatics are wrapped up in the NBA and NHL playoffs and the MLB regular season, many fantasy footballers are thinking ahead to the upcoming NFL season that starts in September. They are already putting together their cheat sheets and […]

Romeo Doubs - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Is Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, or Romeo Doubs The WR1 for the Packers?

The Green Bay Packers had the youngest receiving corps in the NFL in 2023 and they might have the youngest again in 2024. While the Packers receivers and quarterback Jordan Love got off to a rocky start at the beginning of last season, they eventually got on the same page and ended the year as […]

Fantasy Football Veteran Wide Receivers Set to Lose Targets in 2024

Some of fantasy football’s favorite receivers might not put up the numbers in 2024 that they did in 2023 and past years, and it is because they will not have the opportunities to catch passes they used to. Just like a hitter in baseball is dependent upon the amount of plate appearances he gets, a […]

2024 Fantasy Football Tight Ends: Sleepers and Undervalued

It is never too early for fantasy football managers to start searching for sleepers for the upcoming season. The tight end position is top-heavy in fantasy football, with young studs like Detroit’s Sam LaPorta and Arizona’s Trey McBride and veterans like Kansas City’s Travis Kelce and Baltimore’s Mark Andrews dominating the top tier. That is […]

2024 NFL Draft - Veteran Tight Ends Who Could be Replaced on Draft Night

Out with the old, in with the new -- even at the tight end position, where some tight ends can hang around for decades as long as they can block and catch the occasional pass thrown at them inside the red zone. While the 2024 NFL Draft class is not loaded with a plethora of […]
