BALLER MOVE: Stash In 16+ Team Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: 2024
ANALYSIS: Atlanta Braves' top prospect AJ Smith-Shawver could be a potential call-up in the coming months. Despite struggling in Triple-A to begin the season, the flame-throwing right-hander could enter the Braves' rotation at some point in 2024, especially with Spencer Strider (elbow) out for the season.

However, it might be some time until we actually see Smith-Shawver in the majors. The 21-year-old currently has a 5.32 ERA with 12 walks and 24 strikeouts in just 22 innings of work in Triple-A. The right-hander will need to continue working on his command and control before Atlanta thinks about bringing him up to the big leagues again.
Last year, the young pitcher made six appearances (five starts) for the Braves in the regular season and had a 4.26 ERA in 25 1/3 innings pitched. The talent is surely there for Smith-Shawver, but the pitching experience is not. That's why it might be a couple of months until we see him in Atlanta again. Still, he's worth a stash in 16-plus team leagues, given his immense upside.
