AAA Texas 500 DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy NASCAR Lineup Picks

Somewhere out there, the big old cowboy is yodeling in the sky because he knows this is the last time NASCAR will be in the great state of Texas this season. Back in March, Denny Hamlin pulled out his imaginary six-shooters, and fired away for the win after starting in sixth. Hamlin has a shot to pull it off once again starting in third on Sunday, but he'll have to hunt down pole winner Kevin Harvick.

Over the past week, the big story has been the Hamlin Vs. Joey Logano scuffle. Stewart-Haas team owner, Tony Stewart (It feels good to drop his name in an article) came out in a few press conferences at the track this week saying "Line both of them up, I'll whip their asses by myself together" (I lol'd so hard). I agree wholeheartedly that the sport needs that fury like it once had, and just for the record, Texas is a great place to throw the dukes up (especially in crunch time).

Texas Motor Speedway is a difficult track on its own, but add in playoff drama and drivers itching to get to homestead, and you've got yourself a stick of dynamite for a race. Only two playoff drivers have landed themselves inside the Top 10 (Kevin Harvick, Hamlin), while the majority basically make up P11 through P17. From a fantasy perspective, we know a handful of these guys will finish inside the Top 10, and deliver solid production for your lineups.

DFS Lineup Picks - DraftKings, FanDuel

Kurt Busch #1 (DraftKings $9,000 | FanDuel $9,700)

Busch just finished inking a multi-year deal with Chip Ganassi Racing over the weekend. These types of commitments usually bring a positive vibe to a driver, and there wasn't a better track it could have happened at for Busch.

In the past four races at this track, Busch has either finished seventh or ninth, showing that the odds of a Top 10 are really good. With two Top 5 finishes in practice, and a starting spot of fourth, I'm back on my Busch-It this week.

Clint Bowyer #14 (DraftKings $8,800 | FanDuel $8,500)

Bowyer looked insanely fast is practice finishing both of them inside the Top 5 (best speed 188.679). Even though he dropped down to a starting position of 24, I still loved what I saw.

With Bowyer starting in P24, he has a real shot at finishing this race inside the Top 10 based on his practice speed. He should be the game changer in lineups across the board today.

Denny Hamlin #11 (DraftKings $10,800 | FanDuel $13,500)

Hamlin is an absolute animal hunting down this championship, and don't expect that fire to be controlled on Sunday. Last week, Hamlin got a little dirty at Martinsville, but its that type of aggression that gets you to the checkered line.

Hamlin's best lap in practice put him second with a speed of 188.350. There's no reason for him not to be in your lineup after that, and his victory at this track back in March.

Kevin Harvick #4 (DraftKings $10,400 | FanDuel $14,000)

Harvick is one of the drivers without a win in the playoffs, but if there's any track he can change that at, it's here. Harvick has been crushing it in Texas over the past decade with 15 Top 10s, and two wins.

Harvick had a best speed of 187.905 in the second practice on Saturday, and took the pole with a speed of 189.707. A win at this track is his best shot at staying alive to compete for the championship.
