Edmonton Oilers defenseman Tyson Barrie had his night cut short by an upper-body injury on Thursday against Chicago. He managed to pick up a power-play assist in the opening frame but took only eight shifts in the game. Barrie had just started to heat up following a rough offensive spell, picking up six points in nine games. The extent of Barrie's injury is unknown at present, and he should be considered day-to-day. His absence is set to open up minutes on the first defensive pairing and the first power-play unit. The Oilers are back in action on Saturday against Montreal.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
