The Houston Texans have had dialogue with defensive back Justin Reid ahead of free agency and are in open talks about a new contract. He is set to become a free agent after his $2.443 million rookie deal with Houston has expired. "I've talked to his representatives, we've had some dialogue," Texans general manager Nick Caserio said Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine. "I'm certainly open to bringing Justin back. Justin is a good player. He's well thought of around the league. I know he has a lot of respect for head coach Lovie Smith. He had an opportunity to play in his system. If he has an opportunity to come back here, it's another year in the same system." The 25-year-old racked up 66 tackles, two interceptions, four pass deflections, and one forced fumble over 13 games in 2021. Reid and the Texans will work something out on a return but expect the safety to draw plenty of interest from NFL teams if he should hit free agency.--Brad Camara - RotoBallerRead More News
