Ryan Blaney from Team Penske managed to stay near the front of the first Daytona Duel, and that helped him to a seventh-place start for Sunday's Great American Race. The Daytona 500 has not always been kind to the No. 12 driver. His car has been incredible at times, though. Blaney led 118 laps at one point in 2018 before falling back to seventh. Blaney nearly pulled off the win in 2020 after starting 27th, so the speed is there and should be there late, according to lap intervals. Blaney's Ford ran among the three fastest cars during the final 50 laps. It all boils down to avoiding the wrecks.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
