The Seattle Mariners reportedly haven't approached outfielder Mitch Haniger about a contract extension. "The organization has never approached my representatives or me about an extension," said Haniger. He will become a free agent after the 2022 season and will most likely test the market. The 31-year-old had a career-year in 2021 by setting career highs in home runs and RBI last year. Overall, he slashed .253/.318/.485 with 39 homers, 100 RBI, 110 runs scored, and a stolen base over 691 plate appearances in 2021. According to Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times, Haniger was a late-bloomer and will turn 32 going into his first free-agent year; the Mariners, and most teams, aren't necessarily interested in a contract extension. Seattle also has mega outfield prospect Julio Rodriguez, the team's right fielder of the future. Coming off a career year, Haniger is overvalued at his current ADP of 105.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
