It was not the night Robert Whittaker wanted, as he took the loss in the main event of UFC 271 on Saturday. Whittaker was unable to avenge his loss to the man who took his championship back at UFC 243 in Israel Adesanya. Statistically, the strike count was somewhat close, with Whittaker landing 59 significant strikes (74 total strikes) but only securing four of his 10 takedown tries. Whittaker has secured victories against some of the biggest names in the division, but it just seems like Adesanya is the one hurdle he can't quite clear. Matched up with anyone else in the division, Whittaker stands a huge chance of earning the victory.--Matt Bricker
