In a much-needed win for Louisiana native Brendan Allen, a defeat was unfortunately in the cards and he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Chris Curtis on Saturday's main card. In 8:02 of action, Allen tallied 43 significant strikes (44 total strikes) while missing on all three of his takedown tries. Keeping the bout upright was the worst-case scenario against a dangerous striker in Curtis. Allen will remain a top-tier talent, but we need to see a bit more from the Louisiana native if he is going to break into that title-contender tier of the division.--Matt Bricker
