The Kansas City Royals have signed relief pitcher Taylor Clarke, according to a tweet from MLB Network's Jon Heyman. Per Heyman, it's a one-year deal for Clarke worth $975,000. The 28-year-old pitched to a 4.98 ERA and a 3.54 FIP in 43.1 innings last season for Arizona. He'll join a Royals bullpen that also features Josh Staumont, Scott Barlow, Domingo Tapia, and Jake Brentz among others. With Staumont and Barlow around, Clarke probably won't initially be in the mix for saves in Kansas City.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
