Nico Daws was pressed into duty after the ineffectiveness of Scott Wedgewood on Thursday against Washington. For the first 20 minutes, New Jersey fell behind 1-0 but Daws stood tall. He was able to make 24 saves in all. Eventually, the Devils tied the game in the third period. Then, New Jersey won in overtime giving Daws his first NHL career win. It was an odd game as Daws stopped a few high-danger chances early along with a bunch of medium-danger ones. Will Daws start again on Monday or will Mackenzie Blackwood return? Stay tuned. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
