Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alec Martinez (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup for Friday's home game against Edmonton. The two-time Stanley Cup champion got hurt in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to St. Louis and is considered day-to-day. Martinez has made a strong start to the season with two points, four shots, six hits and five blocks across three games. It's another big blow for the Knights, who are already without Max Pacioretty (lower body) and Mark Stone (lower body). Nicolas Hague is set to join Alex Pietrangelo on the top pairing on Friday. The 22-year old has picked up one assist with four shots, five blocks and five hits this season.--Taavi Pailk
