Buffalo Bills cornerback Taron Johnson had a three-year, $24 million contract extension announced Saturday, keeping him with the team through the 2024 year. Johnson has been a key contributor to the Bills defense thus far in '21, combining for 15 tackles, five passes defended, one forced fumble, and one sack. A fourth-round selection by the franchise in '18, Johnson has worked his way up the depth chart to help Buffalo emerge as a stout defensive unit that is perpetually in conversation as an above-average group on a weekly basis. That being said, their Week 5 matchup vs. the Chiefs is likely one to avoid, irrespective of any new contract motivation on Johnson's end.--Jesse BorekRead More News
