Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Chauncey Rivers (knee) tore his ACL on the second-to-last play of practice on Wednesday and will miss the rest of the season, according to a source. For now, the recently signed Jaylon Smith, who was surprisingly cut by the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday, can take Rivers spot on the active roster and help fill in on defense once he gets up to speed. Rivers played a season-high 32 percent of the defensive snaps in the Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he had mostly been playing a rotational depth role for Green Bay. He had just two solo tackles in four games so far in the 2021 season. The Packers defense will be a shaky streaming option against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
