Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk lifted his fifth homer of the campaign on Sunday as his club went on to an 8-0 victory over the Athletics. He took Cole Irvin deep in the third inning for a three-run shot to blow the game open to 7-0 as he also chipped in with a double and a single to go 3-for-4 in the contest. Despite missing nearly three months of action due to injury, Kirk has put together a fine season with 14 runs, 20 RBI, and a .275 BA through 44 games as a platoon backstop in Toronto.
