Giancarlo Stanton Ends Homerless Drought At 12 Games

New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-5 with a homer, two runs, and four RBI during a 13-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday. Stanton, who hasn't homered since July 20, took Orioles relief pitcher Adam Plutko deep for a three-run shot during the fourth inning. The four-time All-Star now has 17 homers, 50 RBI, 37 runs, and a .253/.352/.452 line over 359 at-bats. Stanton is as streaky as they come, and perhaps the Orioles are just what the 31-year-old needed to enter a hot streak.
