The Chicago Blackhawks walked away from a qualifying offer to Pius Suter. So, the Detroit Red Wings quickly struck. They signed the forward to a two-year deal worth $3.25 million AAV on Wednesday. Suter spent good parts of the season centering forwards like Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane. He scored 14 goals and 27 points in 55 games. Suter also played over 16 minutes a night and saw a good deal of power-play time. That ability to score goals was not lost on Steve Yzerman. Suter scored five goals against Detroit in 2021. Suter can also play left-wing as well and should see top-six ice time as a Red Wing. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
