3 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Frank Schwindel will be headed to a new organization. The 26-year-old infielder has been claimed off waivers by the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. The A's were forced to designate him for assignment in order to open up a roster spot for Mitch Moreland. Schwindel recorded three hits during his brief time with Oakland this season. He has put together a few decent seasons in the minors, but is mainly a depth piece for Chicago. There is no fantasy impact here with Schwindel heading to Triple-A Iowa.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
