Marcus Semien Drives In Five On Tuesday

Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Marcus Semien popped his 19th long ball of the season during the club's 9-3 victory over the Mariners on Tuesday. He finished the day going 3-for-5 with a two-run double in the first to get the scoring started, and he followed that up by slugging a three-run bomb in the seventh to blow the game open. Semien hasn't budged off the leadoff spot since George Springer has returned to the lineup, and it's looking likely that he'll remain in that spot as long as his bat doesn't totally disappear. The 30-year-old is making managers happy with 50 RBI, 58 runs, 10 SB, and a .286 BA in his contract season.
