Albert Pujols Takes A Seat On Saturday

In Saturday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, first baseman Albert Pujols isn't starting. However, Matt Beaty, a left-handed hitter, is starting at first base for the Los Angeles Dodgers since they're facing a right-handed pitcher in Matt Peacock. Pujols and Beaty typically platoon, since Pujols is a right-handed hitter. Since joining the Dodgers, Pujols is hitting .254 with five home runs, seven runs and 13 RBI. He's hitting .359 with a 1.108 OPS against lefties compared to a .125 batting average and .395 OPS against righties. At this point in his career, the 41-year-old future Hall of Famer doesn't offer fantasy managers much in AL-only leagues, and he's obviously not playing every day.
