Only making one cut in three attempts, Patrick Cantlay hasn't had a great time at Torrey Pines. In his only made cut, Cantlay finished 51st in 2018. However, since Cantlay last played at Torrey Pines in 2019, things have changed for him. Cantlay has won three times on the PGA Tour since his last time at Torrey Pines, including two weeks ago at the Memorial. There should be no reason to believe Cantlay won't contend this week, as he sits fourth in strokes gained total on the PGA Tour this season. Cantlay does everything well that you need at Torrey Pines, including an elite game off the tee, and he's good enough with his putter as well. Cantlay finished in the top 25 at the PGA Championship, and we expect more of the same this week in San Diego.--Kasey Kuhrts - RotoBaller
