Boston Red Sox catcher Kevin Plawecki (chin contusion) was forced to exit early Tuesday against the Houston Astros after taking a foul ball off his face mask. He was 1-for-1 with a single before he left the game. Plawecki was monitored for concussion symptoms, but was cleared. If he is forced to miss any time, Christian Vazquez would be given the extra at-bats, but Vazquez already has the lion's share of the starts. Plawecki should be on fantasy waiver wires.--Doug Goldring
