Stephen Strasburg Completes Simulated Game

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) successfully completed a simulated game on Tuesday. He threw a total of 62 pitches, which was 12 more pitches than he was expected to throw. According to Maria Torres of The Athletic, the Nationals will be determining Strasburg's next step by the end of the week. He will either throw another simulated game or he will embark on a rehab assignment. Regardless, this is good news for Strasburg, who only made two starts this year before hitting the injured list due to shoulder inflammation on April 18.
