Victor Mete Makes Senators Debut On Monday
Ottawa Senators defenseman Victor Mete is set to make his first appearance for the team in Monday's home game against the Jets. The 22-year-old was claimed off waivers on Monday and will be thrown straight into the action. Mete had a miserable time in Montreal this season, playing only 14 games and recording three points, but he has shown flashes of very good potential and could become a very valuable piece for the Senators. Ottawa has parted ways with veteran defensemen Braydon Coburn and Erik Gudbranson, which will give younger guys like Mete a chance to shine. Mete will skate on the third pairing in his debut with Josh Brown.
