Paul Campbell Makes His Debut On Saturday

Miami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Paul Campbell, a Rule 5 pick, made his major league debut in Saturday's win over the Rays. Campbell was forced to come into the third inning after starter Elieser Hernandez (bicep) had to leave the game due to an injury. Campbell ended up throwing two innings, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk. He did get his first big league strikeout though. It was overall not a great debut for Campbell, but he was thrown in without much notice. With Hernandez possibly missing time and Sixto Sanchez (shoulder) certainly missing time as well, there's a chance Campbell gets stretched out to join the starting rotation.
