Brian Elliott Looks To End Cold Spell Monday Night
Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Brian Elliott will make his 12th start of the year on Monday against the Islanders, looking to return to winning ways after going through a rough spell. The Moose has allowed eight goals on 23 shots in his last two appearances, and he is carrying an awful .821 save percentage for the month. Elliott is 7-4-0 for the season with a 2.97 goals-against average, a .892 save percentage, and two shutouts. He will be backed up by Alex Lyon, with Carter Hart getting a rest day. The Flyers suffered a big 6-1 loss to the Islanders at the weekend, but they have won three of the previous four tilts against them this season ahead of Monday's action.
