Andrelton Simmons To See Game Action Soon

Minnesota Twins shortstop Andrelton Simmons could see game action by the end of the week. Manager Rocco Baldelli said the goal is to get Simmons into the game on Friday against the Braves, though it's not set in stone yet. The veteran shortstop was delayed to camp due to visa issues, a process that was complimented by poor weather, but was still able to get some work in during the delay. Simmons' defense should provide a big boost to the Twins' pitching staff, though his impact with the bat- 95th percentile in strikeout rate last year- should provide some much-needed balance to a Twins' lineup that struck out 528 times last season, 12th-most in the majors.
