Washington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov will make his third start of the campaign as his team faces off against the New Jersey Devils on Sunday afternoon. The 24-year-old, who hasn't started for the Caps since January 17th, will enter the contest with a 3.36 goals-against average and a .868 save percentage. It's been a rocky start to the 2020-2021 campaign for Samsonov as he was expected to take over the reigns as the Capitals' starting netminder following the departure of goaltender Braden Holtby over the offseason. Instead, the Russian netminder was handed a suspension for breaking Covid protocols and then missed extended time battling the virus soon after. He'll look to get on track versus a Devils team that has lost four of its past five contests. --Chase Davis - RotoBaller
