FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/6/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/6/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

The weekend is here, and hopefully, everyone is enjoying it. On Friday night, Nikola Vucevic led the slate in production by finishing 73.8 fantasy points against the Chicago Bulls. On the value end, Alex Len nearly hit 10 times his value after Washington’s win over the Miami Heat. Other notable performances came from Pascal Siakam, Al Horford, and rookie Patrick Williams, among others.

As we head toward FanDuel’s “Main Slate,” which begins at 7 pm (eastern), we are keeping an eye on things as injuries and safety protocols will likely open things up for a more significant workload for many. Some potential/confirmed absences to consider include Lauri Markkanen (shoulder), Trae Young (calf), Otto Porter (back), John Wall (back), Christian Wood (ankle), Kevin Durant (safety protocol), Seth Curry (illness), Joel Embiid (knee), Ben Simmons (calf), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (knee), and Brandon Clarke (calf). Karl-Anthony Towns, who hasn’t played since the middle of January after being diagnoses with COVID-19, has a shot at playing against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/6/21. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. FanDuel DFS Guards

Zach LaVine, SG - @ ORL ($8,500)

LaVine’s future in Chicago is uncertain as he has been the subject of trade rumors even before the season actually started. Nonetheless, for now, he is having the best season of his career while also establishing himself as a legit superstar throughout the league.

The 25-year-old is putting up career numbers across the board, doing so while averaging over 35 minutes per game. He has scored at least 21 points in all but three games since 2021 began and should benefit from another ideal matchup against the Magic. LaVine racked up 44.8 fantasy points against Orlando on Friday night and may be in store for another stellar performance if Lauri Markkenan isn’t available.

Cole Anthony, PG - vs. CHI ($5,000)

When the Magic lost Markelle Fultz for the remainder of the year after he tore his ACL, the team had a significant void at the one. The 22-year-old appeared to be on his way to having his best season in the league, and replacing his consistent production was not going to be an easy task.

However, Anthony, who has drafted with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, was inserted into the starting rotation and hasn't looked back. While he played well in December and January, he has put his foot on the gas as of late and is averaging 16.5 points in February. The former Tar Heel's shooting percentages aren't the best, but without Aaron Gordon in the lineup, he should continue to get plenty of opportunities to produce moving ahead. Anthony will make a suitable option in both cash and GPP formats; however, keep in mind that he will likely be a popular option in DFS lineups in a favorable matchup against the Chicago Bulls.

Also Consider: Luka Doncic ($10,700), Ja Morant ($7,000), Coby White ($5,600), Derrick White ($5,400), Ricky Rubio ($4,700), Patty Mills ($3,800), James Harden ($10,800), Collin Sexton ($7,000), Kevin Huerter ($4,900), Dillion Brooks ($4,800), Josh Richardson ($4,700), Bruce Brown ($4,300), Seth Curry ($3,900)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kristaps Porzingis, PF - vs. GSW ($7,800)

When Porzingis was in New York, his DFS asking price was generally higher than what we’ve witnessed during his tenure in Dallas. Once one of the most dominant, promising big men in the league, the Latvian native’s career has been plagued with constant knee injuries.

Porzingis’ production and availability appears to be trending in the right direction, nonetheless, as the 25-year-old has looked great in the three games since the start of February, averaging 22.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, and shooting 100 percent from behind the arc. The Warriors will be without James Wiseman, Kevon Looney, and possibly Eric Paschall on Saturday night, so the door is open for Porzingis to smash his value, or at least we hope.

Chris Boucher, PF - @ ATL ($4,700)

Boucher is a candidate for Most Improved Player and is averaging a career-high 13.2 points in 22 appearances during the 2021 campaign. He is a reliable option for the Raptors off the bench and has double-double potential whenever he steps on the court.

After being the preferred option for Toronto for most of the season, Boucher’s production fell victim to the recent increase in minutes for Aron Baynes. However, the 28-year-old came alive against the Nets on Saturday night, finishing with 17 points, nine boards, and two blocks throughout 26 minutes of work. Although there will be nights where Baynes will spend more time on the floor, the Raptors will need some mobility against the Hawks on Saturday, which is something that Baynes can’t provide.

Also Consider: Joe Harris ($5,300), Keldon Johnson ($5,300), Taurean Prince ($5,200), Denzel Valentine ($4,100), Rudy Gay ($3,900), Danny Green ($3,800), Dorian Finney-Smith ($3,700), Garrett Temple ($3,500), John Collins ($6,900), Patrick Williams ($4,300)

FanDuel DFS Centers

DeMarcus Cousins, C - vs. SAS ($5,900)

After the Rockets dealt Russell Westbrook and James Harden, the team is looking to move toward the future. Houston took on some lucrative contracts to rebuild, and with that, the club has to rely on an unsteady John Wall as its top scoring option.

With Wall and Christian Wood both out of the picture, Cousins should see a significant increase in usage and +/- differential on Saturday night. Boogie has big-time potential in the fantasy department, as evident by two-consecutive performances at the end of January with at least 51 fantasy points, so it’s not unlikely for him to exceed his value against San Antonio. The Spurs will also be without LaMarcus Aldridge, which only adds to Cousins’ appeal on the slate.

Also Consider: Nikola Vucevic ($8,800), Thaddeus Young ($7,100), Naz Reid ($5,800), Jakob Poeltl ($5,700),
