Experts Think Francisco Lindor Will Be Traded
All 20 MLB team executives that were polled for ESPN's annual Hot Stove survey predicted that Cleveland shortstop Francisco Lindor will be traded before Opening Day, with one calling a trade "just a matter of where and when." Lindor has been the most-discussed trade candidate this offseason and Cleveland is motivated to move Lindor's 2021 salary, which is expected to be in the $20 million range through arbitration, and receive some valuable pieces in return before he becomes a free agent. The Mets and Yankees are two potential landing spots for the All-Star shortstop. Wherever Lindor winds up, he'll remain an elite fantasy shortstop after hitting .258/.335/.415 with eight home runs, 30 runs, 27 RBI and six steals in 236 at-bats during the shortened 2020 season.
