Jerick McKinnon Leads 49ers Backfield In Week 9
Jerick McKinnon saw his biggest workload of the past five weeks on Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers. McKinnon carried the ball 12 times for 52 yards and a touchdown and added three catches for 16 yards on four targets. McKinnon had a total of 13 carries over his previous five games combined, so it was surprising to see his workload increase so drastically, even though he had 14 carries in back-to-back games in Week 3 and Week 4. Rookie JaMycal Hasty was projected to be the team's primary ball-carrier going into the game, but Hasty saw just four carries. McKinnon appears to be back into flex or even low-end RB2 consideration as long at the 49ers' primary rushers remain out.
