Marlins Recall Jordan Yamamoto
Jordan Yamamoto from their alternate site and optioned first baseman Lewin Diaz on Tuesday. Yamamoto has struggled in his three starts with the club this year, allowing 11 runs in just 8 2/3 innings. He showed some promise last year with a 4.46 ERA and 1.14 WHIP over 15 starts, so there's a chance he can have some success in the big leagues. The Marlins currently don't have a starter named for the second game in their double-header against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, so that's where Yamamoto could make his fourth start of the year.
