Lance McCullers Jr. Grateful To Be Back On Mound
Houston Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. expressed his gratitude to be back playing the game he loves after allowing only one run in five innings in his final tune-up start on Monday. McCullers missed the entire 2019 season after Tommy John surgery and is eager to get back on the mound and contribute. The 26-year-old went 10-6 with a 3.86 ERA in 2018 and was a key contributor to the Astros' World Series Championship. McCullers has the talent and stuff to be a mid-rotation starter, but fantasy owners should tread cautiously when selecting him. The right-handed starter's value is better suited to the later rounds in most standard formats.
