Anytime you see Dustin Poirier on the marquee, you can expect fireworks. This fight did not disappoint, as Poirier main evented his sixth bout in a row. The No. 3-ranked lightweight had his hands full with the No. 5-ranked and very hungry Dan Hooker. As you would expect, Poirier used his exceptional boxing skills to land series after series of combos, even though Hooker did a magnificent job staying on his feet. Hooker landed a huge knee to Poirier's head at one point in the bout, which shook the former champion. Poirier's striking game is beyond exceptional, landing over 70% of his strikes. After the first couple of rounds were very close, Poirier took the last three rounds to take the unanimous decision over a tough opponent.--Matt Bricker
