The Miami Dolphins used the 70th overall pick in the NFL Draft on safety Brandon Jones out of Texas. This is a bit of a surprise, as Jones is a smaller player and is a bit of a hybrid between safety and corner. His speed makes him stronger in coverage, but his run-support skills could use work. He is unlikely to start right away but could contribute as an extra defensive back on passing downs, which is where he thrives.
