The Baltimore Orioles are interested in shortstop Tim Beckham and have discussed a minor league deal with him, according to multiple sources. Beckham spent 1 1/2 seasons in Baltimore. He was handed an 80-game performance-enhancing suspension on Aug. 6 of last year, so he will start the 2020 season serving the rest of that suspension. The 29-year-old (30 on Monday) hit just .237/.293/.461 with 21 doubles, a triple, 15 home runs and 47 RBI in 328 plate appearances with the Mariners last year. Beckham got off to a nice start last season but predictably faded and was then hit with the suspension. He could see plenty of playing time at shortstop if he lands with the O's, but he'd merely be a depth option in AL-only leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
